Additional Method for Acquiring Rare Resources through Randomized Respawning Nodes

A system for rare ore/wood/cotton that wouldnt replace the current system but is an additional method of getting rares while subtly enforcing small scale and solo player behavior.

Random nodes in the wilderness should have a small chance to respawn as their rare counterpart.

Eg, an iron node in the wilderness may respawn as a selentine node with like 2-5 hits on it. We could then tie in higher tier node spawns into higher risk area, which would subtly enforce a more healthy small scale player behavior by incentivizing players to explore the world on their own.

The system would probably also need a DESPAWN timer on the rare nodes so that they don't just sit around forever never being hit.

The vision I have for such a system would be like this. For example on yssam there is the interior of that big a** mountain that has a ton of nodes inside it that nobody goes to because it's out of the way and is just regular nodes. The game world is full of beautiful hand crafted terrain like that all over, that unfortunately goes mostly unvisited because there is simply no reason to go there.

This system would encourage players to explore such areas, increasing immersion and good fights in very cool areas that are normally unseen by 95% of the game.

I just really love darkfall and agon, and I think more players would also feel the same passion if they could explore the world and feel rewarded by it.

Roa is the best MMO available in 2026 and we can make it even cooler 😎
