Introduce Deployables for Modifying Mob Spawns and Behaviors
Add deployables which interact with mob spawns.
Despite what some people say, figuring out, refining and carrying out novel methods of PvEing is actually quite fun. To that end, adding deployable which interact with nearby mobs in various ways can dramatically improve the possibilities and interact with PvP. A few examples which come to mind:
- Cheap deployable which forces mob spawns in the area to spawn faster. This could be used to replace the existing "powering up" of spawns.
- Deployable which powers up nearby mobs. (Possibly also increasing their loot drops.) This might be used either to increase the drops from mobs or to increase the power of mobs which are blocking a spawn in a dungeon.
- Deployables which prevent spawning of weak mobs. (Can be used to make some spawns where weak and strong mobs are together easier, or to force mixed spawns to only spawn their hardest mob)
- Expensive deployable which enhances spawn rate and drops but marks itself on the map. (Can encourage pvp)
- Deployables which apply debuffs to mobs (or buffs to players)
Deployables could be either limited time (creates temporary hotspots if discovered by other players) or reusable (increases the risk/reward calculus for farming mobs)
