Introduce Regular PvP Town Struggle Event for Player Engagement and Community Bonding

I have a suggestion for a PvP event based on events on UO Outlands. Outlands has some excellent PvP events which have been popular for years, and I think a few of them would transfer very well to Darkfall. On Outlands, there are 4 PvP events which happen every hour and last for 30 minutes. This means there is a continuous source of PvP event which players can participate in. The event that I think would be a good starting point for Darkfall would be the Town Struggle event, or some sort of variation on it. I imagine this will not be possible on the 32bit server, but I would really hope something like it would make its way to the 64 bit server.

Town Struggle
As the name suggests, this takes place within towns. 15 minutes before the event, portals appear in all clan cities and NPC cities for the event. Players that wish to participate enter the portal and are transported to a lobby area with a bank where they can gear up.
When the event starts, a random town is selected as the event battleground. If player numbers are high, the event is split into multiple events across multiple towns.
All players are allocated into two seperate teams and transported to a starting location for the teams within the chosen city. Players in clans are split up randomly as this is not a "clan event". In the city there are 3 control points. Standing on a control point awards control points to the team that occupies it. Teams can only gain so many points from a control point before it expires and they need to wait some time before they can gain from that particular point again, leading to players having to move around and contest the different points about the map.
Players can also receive points for killing players on the opposing team, which awards kill points + also steals a portion of the opposing teams overall point score, encouraging combat. At the end of the 30 minutes, the team with the most points win.
At the end of the event, players can access a scoreboard which shows their statistics including control points gained, kill points, kills, damage dealt etc etc.
Players are awarded on a scale of 1-4 and receive battle trophies depending on this score. The highest ranking players who score 4 points receive 4 trophies, the lowest ranking 1 trophy, etc. The trophies can be traded in and the player will receive a random rare/semi-rare item for this.
During the event, all players are flagged for event participation. This means that they are invulnerable to any attacks or interactions from players not participating in the event, preventing interference.
Discord voice channels are set up on the main Discord for those taking part in the event, so they can join the voice channel for their team.
The benefits of an event like this should be pretty clear. It provides regular, accessible PvP for the community. There should be a seasonal and life-long scoreboard that tracks statistics for bragging rights etc. The other thing I liked about this event on Outlands was that it brought the community together. Players from rival guilds would put aside their differences (for the most part) when they are teamed together for the event. Players from the community got to know eachother from this event. I made many friends on Outlands (some who play here now on RoA) through this event. It was a great way for the PvP community to get to know one another and compete in a friendly, yet competitive environment.
This event has proved highly popular on the UO Outlands server for years and I really think this system, or a variation on it, would work very well on RoA. It's quick, accessible to all, including new players, and keeps the PvP community engaged for the long term. If this event were to be implemented, it could be done on its own initially, and later, clan-based events of a similar nature (like those that exist on Outlands) be added in.
One more thing, on Outlands there was a gear restriction for the event to equalise things somewhat. Players who participated in "stan
