Add more diverse items that incorporate more aesthetics/themes. Ex: frutiger aero, with this style you can integrate small aquariums as well. The integration of such aesthetics/themes would be groundbreaking for the game as it would allow players to brake from the "mold" and experiment with new styles when building. Also add fun/cute variations of items, ex: animal-shaped clocks, mirrors. Things that can bring out the personality of players and make each build more creative and unique.

Another thing that would greatly complement this would be the ability to adjust lighting. Sometimes the lights are way too dim or bright. Players end up having to put different lights with different colors which sometimes leads to a patch of a random color that you used a "neutralizer" for the lighting. Also fix the issue with the lights passing through walls and floors.
