Selective Light Control Switch for Specific Areas in Builds
This'll probably be buried in the almost 2k suggestions, but it's a kinda random specific thing that would help out a lot of people! I think it would be cool if there was a light switch that you could specifically choose which lights it turned on (possibly within a vicinity(?) if that makes it easier for you). instead of it being decided by the room or floor. For me specifically, I am making a theater, and there is no way(or at least no easy way) to make it to where I can turn the auditorium lights off for a show, but keep the stage lights on. Plus, I have a whole lighting system underneath the stage that is different colors, but it has to be separated via walls.(shown in image attached) This is nice, and allows me to use different lighting easily, but as you can see, the blue is very centralized towards the center of the stage and the red is very on the edge of the stage. If I could have the lights under the stage randomly, and not separated by walls, whilst being able to select the specific lights I want(and colors in this case). It would allow there to be a more covered lighting instead of the weird contraption I have now.(along with no 'overbearing brightness' in some areas because I'm trying to illuminate as much of the stage as possible. Obviously, not everyone is trying to build a stage, but this will also help builders who use custom shapes instead of walls and are unable to shut off/turn on one room's lights without doing the whole house, or builders who have high roofs and high up lights without having to put their light switch up high. obviously, you don't have to do this with every light switch in the game, and obviously the range would have to remain on one's plot(if you do put a range please make it decently large for those like me making big wide open spaces.) but if you do make it only one specific light switch, do make it look decently normal for those who want to use it in a regular build. I know this would probably be one of your fewer worries but I feel it would truly benefit builders from high-low detail.
Thank you for this amazing game you have given us, I know we complain a lot, but we are spoiled. truly. (and thanks for listening to my long rant about light switches)((and also I apologize for my bad handwriting in my reference image))
Lots of love,
