Introduce Dynamic Weather Systems & Emergency Preparedness Features
Introduce Storm systems & items.
As someone who is very fascinated with weather and storms, I think it would be nice if the Bloxburg team could add different weather systems. Systems like hurricanes, tropical storms, tornadoes, flash flooding, blizzards, thunderstorms, etc. with different levels.
Before a storm, a E.A.S style alert can play and maybe alarm sirens in town can go off. These storms can also have an effect on buildings such as damages to walls, roofs, fences, mailboxes, basements, windows & even cars. Heavy storms can even cut the power in a player’s home for a while if they don’t have a backup generator! And the power can also cut off in buildings downtown too.
The amount of damage can depend on the level of the storm. Weather effects can also include Heavy rain, Strong Wind, Fog, Lighting, Thunder, Hail, Fallen trees, Flying leaves and debris, Puddles that gradually form.
For example, if a category 5 hurricane hit, players can stock up, prepare, board up their houses and try to ride the storm out. After the storm, they can also get a tool-kit and repair the damages done to their home. This can also make window shutters useful so that when they’re in use, the storm doesn’t damage the windows or doors. During floods, furniture and things inside can also be damaged if the flood happens to get into a player’s home.
There can even be a small storm shelter around the map or the school gym can also be used as a makeshift shelter.
For tornadoes, players can prepare and hide in their basements. Many places around town can also be closed down during a storm, giving players that feel of realism.
For items that can be included in this update maybe a Warning Siren, Warning signs & flags, Sandbags, Emergency Radios, Storm tracking radar, storm shutters, storm drains, a weather app on the phone, backup generators, and even a Utility pickup truck.
This update can also offer a range of new jobs! After a storm, players can take up the job as a Tree Removal Crew to clear any debris from the streets in neighborhoods and downtown. There can also be a Weather Forecasters job who is able to know when a storm is coming and can help to warn the citizens.
You can also receive a storm preparation checklist in the weather app before a storm comes and there can also be NPCS seen preparing the buildings for the storm.
In private servers, you can also introduce “Weather Settings” where players could adjust storm frequency, intensity, flood levels, wind speed, and whether damage is cosmetic or enabled!
If the storm gets to a point where the players would need to be evacuated, there could be an alert telling players to evacuate to the school gym or a shelter.
With that being said, a storm update would be a great addition to Bloxburg because it would bring more variety, realism, and interaction into the game. Severe storms with evacuations, power outages, and emergency events would create new roleplay opportunities and also allow players to act as families preparing their homes, emergency responders helping others, or workers restoring the town and their homes. It would give more purposes to houses by adding features like generators, storm shelters, and emergency supplies while also introducing new jobs and activities. And for the players who like to build towns, some items like a Storm Siren can also make their roleplays exciting and realistic. The update would make the town feel more exciting with the changing weather, NPC reactions, and community events. It would also encourage teamwork, creativity, and strategic building while giving players new challenges and experiences beyond everyday roleplay.
As someone who loves both storms and Bloxburg, i think this would work well for those looking for a little bit of fun with weather. Hoping that Bloxburg will take my idea into consideration and maybe make it a reality! ❤️🌪️
