Enhance Gardening Experience with Interactive Learning and Skill Classes
Okay so don’t get me wrong, I love gardening in Bloxburg. But man… it is SLOW. Like, painfully slow. You plant stuff, you wait forever, you water it, you wait some more, and then finally you get a little bit of XP. And if you're trying to get all the garden items or unlock those higher-level plants? Good luck. It takes ages.
I get that it's supposed to be a grind, but I feel like there could be some other ways to level it up that would make it way more fun—and honestly, more interactive too.
Here’s what I was thinking:
- Gardening Forums on the Computer
What if we had a gardening forum or website we could use on the in-game computer? Your character could sit there and "research" gardening tips, read about different plants, stuff like that. It wouldn't give you as much XP as actually planting and harvesting—so it wouldn't break the balance—but it'd be a nice backup for when you're low on cash or just waiting for your crops to grow. Plus it gives you something productive to do inside your house when it's raining or nighttime.
- After-School Skill Classes
This one I think would be SO cool for roleplay. We already have that "empty" roleplaying classroom downstairs in the school, right? What if after school hours, it turned into a skill class that changed every day?
Like:
Monday = Gardening Class
Tuesday = Cooking Class
Wednesday = Athletics
Thursday = Art or Music
Friday = maybe a rotating one
And when you walk in, the room actually changes depending on the class—kind of like how the teacher job changes the room when you enter. During gardening class, you'd have little planting stations. During cooking, you'd have stoves and ingredients. During athletics, workout mats and equipment.
You'd just hang out in the room while class is happening and your skill would slowly go up. It wouldn't be super fast, but it'd be a chill way to level up while also getting some good roleplay in with other players.
Why I think this would work:
It gives people who don't have a lot of money a way to still level gardening (since planting costs cash).
It adds more depth to the school, which is kind of underused right now if you aren't interested in getting a diploma or already have one!
It's great for roleplayers who want their characters to actually "learn" skills instead of just grinding alone in their backyard.
And it doesn't replace the original gardening system—it just adds more options, which is always a win.
Honestly I just think Bloxburg could use more ways to keep skills interesting, especially for people who've been playing for a while. Gardening is one of those skills that feels super rewarding once you're high level, but getting there is such a drag. This would make the journey way more enjoyable.
