As you know a lot of people get laggy in the new town yes they can turn their graphics down even then it can be laggy. My suggestion is in the main menu you can choose to pick the new town with everything or you can pick the old town for people with low end devices. This can also bring back players that feel the new town/map is too spread out. They may also pick it if they feel that they may want "closure" on the old map there's a lot of memories on the old map and some people didn't get the time to really appreciate the simplicity of the map, and maybe they just want that final time to look back at the map and see all it had to offer. Yes it's time for new beginnings but if you did add the old map for selection then I do think a lot of people would come back for the map and more people would play it more for the "Nostaliga" of the game they grew up with and more people can grow up remembering the map.
