Introduce Culturally Specific Items and Architecture for Enhanced Diversity
I would love to see Bloxburg add more items representing different cultures from around the world. Bloxburg is a game where players can create homes, restaurants, shops, neighborhoods, historical settings, and roleplay environments, so having more culturally specific items would give builders many more ways to make their creations feel authentic and diverse.
I would especially love to see everyday cultural items, rather than having cultures represented only through stereotypical decorations.
Some ideas could include culturally specific:
- Furniture
- Dishes and cookware
- Rugs and textiles
- Lamps and lighting
- Wall decorations
- Pottery and ceramics
- Musical instruments
- Household appliances
- Traditional storage items
- Curtains and tablecloths
- Decorative patterns
- Architecture and building details
There are so many possibilities! For example:
Russia & Eastern Europe
- Samovars
- Matryoshka dolls
- Russian/Eastern European tableware
- Traditional textiles
- Folk-inspired furniture
- Regional architectural details
- Russian and Eastern European foods
South Asia
- Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Nepali, and Sri Lankan-inspired items
- Rangoli decorations
- Traditional cookware
- Regional textiles and rugs
- Decorative lamps
- Traditional foods
Middle East
- Persian, Arab, Turkish, and other regional-inspired furniture and decor
- Ornamental lamps
- Patterned rugs
- Decorative ceramics
- Traditional tableware
- Regional architecture and foods
Africa
- Items inspired by the many different cultures and regions across Africa
- Traditional textiles and patterns
- Regional furniture
- Pottery
- Musical instruments
- Architecture
- Traditional foods
Europe
- More specific items from countries such as Italy, Greece, France, Germany, Spain, Ireland, the Nordic countries, the Balkans, and others
- Regional furniture
- Architecture
- Food
- Decorative objects
- Traditional textiles
Latin America & the Caribbean
- Mexican, Caribbean, Central American, and South American-inspired furniture and decorations
- Regional pottery
- Textiles
- Kitchenware
- Foods
- Architecture
- Festival decorations
Food would be an especially fun way to introduce cultural variety. Instead of only adding generic foods, Bloxburg could add regional dishes from different countries and cultures.
For example:
- Pelmeni
- Blini
- Borscht
- Pirozhki
- Sushi
- Kimchi dishes
- Curry dishes
- Tamales
- Various breads and pastries
- Regional soups
- Traditional desserts
- Different types of tea and other non-alcoholic drinks
I would also love to see more architectural pieces associated with different regions, such as:
- Different window styles
- Doors
- Roofs
- Balconies
- Fences
- Columns
- Tiles
- Decorative trim
- Regional wall patterns
- Traditional building materials
This would make it much easier to create culturally accurate homes and buildings instead of having to improvise with existing pieces.
More cultural items would make Bloxburg much more inclusive and would give builders far more creative freedom. Players could create culturally inspired homes, restaurants, shops, neighborhoods, schools, festivals, historical builds, and roleplay settings that feel much more authentic.
I also think this could be a great opportunity to introduce players to cultures they may not be familiar with through everyday objects, food, architecture, and design.
Rather than adding one huge "culture pack," these items could be introduced gradually through different updates so that many different cultures can eventually be represented.
