Enhancing Department Roles with Expanded Restock and Advanced Corporate Goods

The general idea is to enhance duties and gameplay where each of the departments play one out of three roles to keep the engine running. Basically, they would depend on each other's duties more, where they need to actively collaborate/cooperate, effectively making them more useful and giving them real purpose.

Partly inspirated by the already planned upgrade system where E&L will gather resources on the reserve to upgrade the mountain base, I thought of expanding this idea tenfold (random thoughts I had last night while trying to sleep).

For convenience's sake, I'll stretch this suggestion out in two sections.

Section 1: Expanded restock system
The idea of this section is to give more depth and value to the restock system.
Imported goods (cargo plane/boat):
Goods that are not produced by the corporation itself, and can only be imported from other companies.
Examples:

  • Fuel
  • Armor
  • Vehicles
  • Basic equipment (weapons, grenades, flares) Yes, I'm saying weapons and such should be added to the restock system. It doesn't make sense that we have infinite weapons, why not give E&L something to do? Besides, if weaponry could run out, IR (and other personnel) would act way more cautiously on the reserve, as dying would come at a small price. This way, you have a natural way of valueing your life, and you won't have Rangers driving or running into dinosaurs (as often). Instead, you'll have a professional unit who uses various strategies to survive.

Section 2: Advanced Corporate goods
This concept is entirely new, but I think it has great potential.
Advanced goods that are produced by the corporation itself, and can not be imported from other companies.

  • The idea is that these goods act as an upgrade/addition of the basic imported goods.
  • These goods would have to be made in-game and would be very limitted in stock.
  • They should be stored in highly secured armories.
  • Perhaps these goods could be meant for a new IR Certification (e.g. Experimental equipment)
  • These goods would be more classified/secretive. You could easily make some cool lore with this.

Examples:

  • Fortified armor | Dinosaur samples that are extracted by G&R from thick dinosaur hides such as ankylosaurus and deinosuchus. You could have multiple variants to this, where one dinosaur's armor is stronger than the other, as their hide is more thick.
  • Advanced Grenades | Dinosaur samples that are extracted by G&R from specific dinosaurs. For example, a coelophysis sample used for an enhanced flashbang grenade. A Cryolophosaurus sample used for a toxic gas grenade.
  • Mutagen/Enhancement Serum | Dinosaur samples that are mixed with chemicals to make syringes which temporarily enhances an IR (speed, hp etc.). For example, a DNA sample from a pachy mixed with some weird chemical that boosts an IR's strength/hp. A DNA sample from a galli mixed with some weird chemical that boosts an IR's speed. G&R would extract certain samples from dinosaurs, and then turn them into the experimental goods. Maybe E&L could take part in this process, where they have to bring the samples to a production site where the finalized products (fortified armor etc.) are made.

This has so much potential, like you can have some OC advanced goods that do crazy s***.
I wanted to add more but as I am reaching my text limit and my overdue bedtime, I'm going to end this suggestion here. I might make another later, expanding on this idea.
