Cinematics
Cinematics Suite
- Added a Cinematics Suite on F6, limited to the Content Creators group, with a free camera that takes your character and the interface off screen.
- Added altitude hold, an FPV flight mode, dutch angle on the triggers, invert tilt, a mouse stabiliser, handheld sway with amount, speed and drift, and path stabilisation.
- Added twelve bar formats from Fullscreen to Ultra Panavision 70, a viewfinder with a record light, timecode, format and lens readout, a thirds grid, a horizon line and a keybind list.
- Added a biome lighting picker, a moon phase picker with all nine phases, and the full Photo Mode colour grade with six looks you can save and load.
- Added recording with a countdown, frame rate, length cap and name, a Playback tab listing your takes, trim points, and a shot list that plays queued takes back as one sequence.
- Playback has play, pause, restart, scrub, loop and speed, restores the take's grade, and lets you rename or delete a take.
- Camera heaviness, speed, zoom speed, look sensitivity and tracking smoothness are adjustable, speed goes down to 0.2 studs a second, and the camera can lock onto any object and follow it.
- The world lighting holds still while the suite is open, recording hides the panel and mutes interface sounds, and closing the suite while recording saves the take.
- You are hidden and cannot be hurt in the suite. Show My Character puts you back in the world.
- Right click any slider to reset it.
Photo Mode
- Fixed saved photo presets never loading back in.
Human
Weapons
- Added the Scar, ACR, AK-110, M27 IAR, MK14 EBR, MP7, MPX, Uzi, FMP-75, Desert Eagle, C-9, C-45, FN 5.7, Makarov, Double Barrel, SAS Shotgun and Stone Flinger.
- Added the M2010, XAM-300, SVD, M24, CS5 Tranq, SP-9 and Compound Crossbow.
- Added the Crossbow, Compound Bow, Blowgun, Spear, Modern Axe and Improvised Grenade.
- Replaced the MK-6 Stim Pistol's model.
- Fixed the Iron Spear coming apart when held.
- Fixed the Remington 870's loose shell and sling falling off the gun.
- Fixed the Aeromotive WRR-308 and Cloudy SKS being assigned to the wrong owners, which left each owner locked out of their own gun.
Survival
- Added the Tactical Backpack, Leather Backpack, Leatherskin, Leaf Bandage, War Horn and Flint and Steel.
- Fixed the Tactical and Leather Backpacks being worn back to front, with the shoulder straps hanging outward.
- Fixed the Leather Backpack sitting off to one side of your back instead of centred on it.
Crafting
- Added recipes for the Spear, Modern Axe, Compound Bow, Blowgun, Improvised Grenade, Leatherskin, Leather Backpack, Leaf Bandage, War Horn and Flint and Steel.
Locker
- Rebuilt the locker with item previews, hover stats and a search box, with items grouped by division showing the rank each one needs, lowest first.
- Added Draw Best Kit, Stow All, and named loadouts you can save and draw in one click, six per team.
- Added a Hair toggle that hides or shows your hair over what your helmet wants.
- You can star items to pin them to a Favourites shelf, and hovering a shirt, trousers, helmet or vest shows it on you before you take it.
- Fixed items belonging to a specific person being drawable by anyone else, and they no longer show on the shelf for anybody but their owner.
- Lockers no longer stock other divisions' equipment, and restricted equipment is drawn from your division's locker instead of being issued automatically.
- A loadout skips anything you have lost access to and says how many it could not draw.
- The locker window can be dragged around the screen, and closes if you walk away from it or take a hit.
- Rank locked equipment needs your real rank in Sandbox now, the same as Roleplay.
- Equipment tied to a specific person can no longer be handed out by any means, including by staff.
- Fixed the locker saying you were too far away while you stood next to it.
- Fixed body armour refusing to come out of the locker when your bag was full.
Keycards
- Fixed showing your keycard to somebody almost never working. It went by the way your body happened to be turned rather than where you were looking, so it usually pointed nowhere near the person in front of you.
- Showing a keycard now reaches as far as the game always intended, and tells you when there is nobody in front of you instead of doing nothing.
Body Movement
- Fixed your character's torso untwisting back to neutral when you looked far behind you. It now holds at its natural limit instead. Other players see the same thing you do.
Helmet
- Holding a keycard no longer toggles your helmet light or night vision at the same time as showing the card. Holster the card to use them.
Emotes
- You can now walk around while pointing, and the point emote no longer takes your camera away or aims below shoulder height.
- Emotes now stop when you crouch or go prone, and you can no longer start one while crouched or prone. Before, the pose kept you stood upright while the camera sank to the floor.
- Arms Crossed no longer holds while you walk. Its animation drives the legs, so it dragged you around with completely still feet.
- Fixed the emote wheel refusing to open for the rest of the round after you died once.
- Fixed the emote wheel locking your mouse so you could not pick an emote.
Binoculars
- Night vision switches off when you lower the binoculars now.
Night Vision
- Fixed the night vision grain being offset, leaving the top left corner clear.
Movement
- Fixed your character slowly leaning forward on its own while you stand still.
Falling
- Getting knocked down part way through a fall no longer means you land for free.
- Fixed fall damage sometimes not applying at all, usually in water or on a slope.
- Fixed a long drop being split into several small ones and costing you nothing.
Dinosaur
Combat
- The combat stance turns you with the camera like aiming a gun does, and its camera sits behind you instead of off to the right.
- The hitmarker shows on every landed bite now, including ones fully soaked by armour.
- Punches and kicks no longer shove players sitting in a seat.
- Fixed dinosaur bites sometimes landing no damage and no hitmarker.
Movement
- Leg animations are much smoother when walking near other players.
- Jumping carries the direction you were actually moving in, and no longer throws you forward when you were standing still or backing up.
- Fixed most dinosaurs being unable to climb back out of water.
Spawning
- If the game cannot find a spawn point for you it now says so, with a code to report.
- You no longer fall through the ground when spawning before the world has loaded.
- Fixed a rare spawn that dropped you into the ocean.
Saving
- Growing a stage, switching sub-species or being moved to another team no longer wipes your save. Dying still clears it, same as before.
- Fixed dinosaur saves vanishing the moment you went back to the menu. The save was written correctly when you left the animal, then deleted again a second later, so nothing ever survived.
Falling
- Fall damage from a hard landing no longer vanishes if you stand straight back up.
Radio
- The radio can no longer be pulled out or toggled while holding a wrench, and holding one puts the radio away instead of leaving it out.
Camp
- Anyone in your squad can now set their spawn at your tent and pack it up.
Audio
- Short sniff sounds no longer repeat over and over while you hold to smell.
Performance
- Dinosaurs standing still, and heads held still, cost far less to render.
- Fixed a stutter that repeated every few seconds while a dinosaur was growing.
Carrying
- Corpses are carried nose forward, level and the right way up, on every species.
- Fixed Acrocanthosaurus holding everything it picked up well above its head.
- Fixed loose stone and flint piles hanging off to one side of your mouth.
Universal
Vehicles
- The Chinook can now sling any ground cargo, and a slung load settles on the ground before it locks in place.
- Helicopters refuel twice as fast, and their interaction prompts no longer show a distant indicator.
- Helicopters burn half as much fuel, so every airframe flies twice as long on a tank.
- Crashing into a tree registers far more reliably, and crashes no longer trigger off bushes, leaves, or the people riding with you.
- The Tour Jeep and Golf Cart no longer throw you out in a crash. Nothing with a windscreen does.
- A flooded engine takes 8 seconds out of the water to dry out. The ignition gives you a failed start until then.
- Fixed slinging a cargo container launching your helicopter uncontrollably upward.
- Fixed the ATV and Dirtbike being held to one heading when they flipped instead of righting themselves.
- Fixed rocket projectiles facing the wrong way.
- Fixed helicopter turret fire being invisible to everyone except the gunner, and Black Hawk flares being invisible to everyone except the pilot.
- Fixed being able to start the engine while the vehicle sat in water.
- Fixed an error on every vehicle explosion that could leave burning vehicles unattended.
- Fixed the vehicle chase camera pushing through walls.
Turrets
- Rebuilt the gunner camera so it follows your mouse instead of the barrel, pulls in rather than clipping through walls behind the turret, and slides between turrets when you switch instead of snapping.
- Added a crosshair that opens while the turret is slewing and tightens when the shot will land, with hit marks for connections at range and ammo and heat sat underneath. It turns red when the turret is out of ammo, overheated or unpowered.
- Hold right mouse in the gunner camera to zoom, with aiming slowed while zoomed.
- Firing kicks the camera, weighted per weapon and scaled by your Camera Shake setting.
- Your character no longer walks, jumps, crouches or whistles while you are in the gunner camera.
- Fixed the select key dropping the turret and leaving you in a frozen gunner camera.
- Fixed the gunner camera keys also crouching you, opening the emote wheel or making you whistle.
Building
- Added the Cauldron at Tier 2, the Ceremonial Drum at Tier 3, and the Ceremonial Horn and Standing Brazier at Tier 4.
- The Cauldron cooks meat four at a time and makes stew, bone broth and rendered fat.
- Man the Ceremonial Horn at the mouthpiece with E and sound it with F.
- The Standing Brazier lights itself when you build it.
- You can place buildings half again as far away as before, and the camera pulls back much further while a building ghost is up.
Radio
- Damaging the radio tower scrambles radio traffic and the worse you wreck it the worse it gets, until a destroyed tower takes comms down completely. Each tower covers its own stretch of the island, so wrecking one blacks out that area.
- Repairing the tower brings comms straight back without waiting for a respawn.
- Scrambled lines read NO SIGNAL instead of WEAK SIGNAL once nothing legible gets through.
Supply
- Fixed meat, plant and fish crates coming out of a food cabinet as nothing you could hold.
Corpses
- Any human can now remove a body. Cycle to Remove Body on the corpse prompt and hold E. You cannot do it while something is carrying or dragging the body.
- Bodies stiffen once they have been lying still for a few seconds, human and dinosaur alike, and loosen again when picked up or dragged.
- Fixed dinosaur corpses not opening when you hold the prompt. Large bodies were the worst hit.
Interface
- Hovering an item in a chest or a crafting station shows its stats, like the inventory does, and item comparisons measure a weapon against the one it would replace.
- Rebuilt the supply cabinet menu with a proper panel and a close button, and its items show how many are left and grey out when the shelf is empty.
- Rebuilt Quick Craft: cards are sized to their contents so the whole list fits, each ingredient is its own chip with the one you are short on outlined in red, and the text and Craft button are larger.
- Recipes show how many of the item you already hold, and ones that only make one no longer say x1, so batch recipes like Arrow x8 stand out.
- The inventory is 12.5% larger while looting a chest or using a crafting station, and the storage panel header matches the rest of the interface.
- Map markers are square instead of round.
- Touch buttons only appear when you can use them, so no night vision, light or radio button without the gear.
- The touch buttons are far smaller, sit clear of the movement stick, and scale to your screen.
- Touch buttons no longer sit on top of menus, the main menu or Photo Mode.
- Fixed the empty slot outline showing through your gear on the equipment doll.
- Fixed the tribe and squad member list drawing every member twice.
Hotbar
- Click the key on a hotbar slot and press any key to rebind it, or use the Keybinds page.
World
- Bloom is on at night so lights and neon are visible again, night lighting keeps more colour so coloured lights no longer wash out to white, and New Moon, Waxing Crescent and Waning Crescent nights are as bright as a quarter moon.
- Wind starts building up 15 studs lower.
- Rocks use approximate collision instead of exact.
- Signal flares sit at the same height for everyone instead of a different one per screen.
- Fixed every signal flare in the server relaunching from the ground when you joined.
- Fixed a signal flare label showing to a team that is not meant to see flares.
- Fixed the elevator terminal not following the elevator when it moves.
- Fixed carrion piles standing on end and hovering. They lie flat on the terrain now.
Audio
- Vehicles and aircraft pitch shift as they pass you now.
- Fixed every interface sound playing lower pitched and quieter than it was meant to.
- Menu and interface sounds are a little louder, and all of them now answer the audio sliders.
Performance
- Foliage shares a small pool of rustling sounds, so loading an area is far lighter.
- Other players' head and torso turning costs about a third of what it did, and players who are not looking around, or who are seated or knocked down, cost nothing to turn.
- Trees cost far less to sway, so forests are lighter around helicopters and explosions.
- Chinook and Black Hawk downwash reaches 160 studs instead of most of a region, and Black Hawk downwash fades out with altitude instead of reaching the ground from cruise.
- Fixed the game freezing for several seconds when you spawned in, worst in wooded areas.
- Fixed the client sometimes failing to load past the loading screen.
- The client no longer hangs forever on startup if a piece of the map is missing, and says what was missing instead.
- The wildfire system now builds its own world folders on startup instead of relying on them being saved in the map.
- One broken system no longer stops the whole game from starting; it is skipped and reported instead.
- A system that stalls on startup is now given up on after twenty seconds rather than holding the loading screen forever.
- Servers start around five and a half seconds faster, so joining an empty server no longer sits waiting on it.
- Fixed the loading screen showing no text at all for its first several seconds, worst on phones and slow connections.
- The loading screen now tells you what it is doing and how long it has been waiting, instead of a bar that filled on a timer.
- The loading screen names what it is loading underneath the bar, including the server's progress while you wait on it.
- Removed just over two seconds of loading screen that was waiting for nothing.
- Loading downloads eleven interface sounds instead of five hundred assorted ones, and fetches the rest quietly once you are in.
- Phones and tablets no longer download the whole sound library before letting you play.
- Fixed servers grinding to a crawl for around half a minute when a lot of people joined at once, then slowly recovering.
- Joining costs the server three group and badge lookups instead of twenty-four.
- Group and rank checks anywhere in the game are now answered instantly from a single lookup made when you join.
- Fixed permission checks making a fresh lookup every single time for any group you are not a member of.
- Fixed rank and role occasionally reading as Guest for a group you are actually a member of.
- Fixed a player who joined during a busy moment occasionally ending up with no character for the rest of the session.
- Fixed chat registration failing on a busy server taking the rest of that player's setup down with it.
Testing
- Quality Assurance rank 3 and up can use any human item, vehicle, door and team in Sandbox, apart from items that belong to a specific person. Dinosaur access is unchanged.
- The staff panel and admin commands no longer hand out items that belong to a specific person, and givetool now respects that too. The balance team keeps full access through givetool.
- Inventory actions aimed at a player who has already left now refuse quietly instead of erroring.
Balance Panels
- Fixed numbers reading as 1.1000000238418579 instead of 1.1. Camera offsets, recoil, spread and hitbox sizes were the worst affected. The value itself was always correct, only the way it was written out was not.
- Fixed EXPORT MODULE writing those same long numbers permanently into the config file, so exporting was making the file messier every time.
- Fixed the JSON editor being unable to scroll no matter how long the value was. Anything past the first screenful could not be reached.
- The JSON editor now keeps short entries on one line instead of splitting every bracket onto its own. A hitbox list that took 152 lines now takes 17, and a recipe's ingredients take 6 instead of 18.
- The JSON editor sorts keys, so a value looks the same every time you open it, and it warns you if a value is too long for Roblox to draw in full.
Hub
Server Browser
- Rebuilt the create server menu and the join server window. Both are much larger, size themselves to their contents, and their headings and labels are readable.
- The connecting screen has the game's backdrop behind it, and its text is much larger.
- The server browser and the donations menu scale with your screen, so text no longer shrinks to unreadable on a phone or balloons on a large monitor.
- Fixed friend icons spilling out of the join window over the server list.
- Fixed buttons and labels in the create server menu stretching past the edge of the list.
- Fixed the privacy buttons in the server creation menu not showing which one you picked.
- Fixed the reroll button showing a broken square.
Queue
- Full servers can be queued for. The queue is shared across every hub server so your place is your real place, and you are pulled in automatically the moment a slot opens.
- The connecting screen shows your place in the queue and updates as it moves, and you can leave at any point.
- If a slot opens and the connection does not take it retries and keeps your place, and filling up again while you are being pulled in does not cost you your spot.
- Leaving the queue for another server takes you out of the first one, and getting bounced back to the hub puts you back in automatically.
- Queueing for a server that shuts down tells you why instead of leaving you waiting.
- Group and friends only servers recheck your access when your turn comes.
Server Creation
- Creating a group locked server asks you to add a group and rank first, and one whose group lock cannot be read refuses everyone rather than letting everyone in.
- Team locks travel with the server so they apply no matter who reaches it first, and show on the server listing.
- Errors while creating or joining show a proper notification instead of a line you could miss.
- Fixed a group locked server with no groups added letting anyone join it.
- Fixed created servers losing their name, season, tags, privacy and team locks if the creator's teleport failed.
Hub Access
- A hiccup reading your group rank no longer kicks you out of the hub. It retries first.
- Opening the create menu no longer looks up your group rank from scratch every time.
- Fixed a player name being able to ping an entire Discord through the join log.
- Fixed the create menu showing you as rank 0 for a moment and hiding the create button.
Hub Logging
- Join and donation logs are paced instead of all firing at once so a busy server drops none, back off when Discord asks them to, and retry rather than vanishing.
- A log with a bad or deleted webhook address switches itself off instead of retrying forever.
- Both logs share one sender, so neither can be left out of a fix to the other.
Server List
- Rebuilt the list as proper tiles, with the list, its header bar and the page behind it separated instead of one flat black, and a darkened backdrop behind the browser.
- Server rows, regions, versions and ages are all noticeably larger.
- Full servers show how many people are waiting, so you can pick the shorter queue.
- The region filter lists only regions that have servers with a count on each, ordered busiest first with unknown last, and servers with no reported region read UNKNOWN.
- Buttons pick up and settle more smoothly, their outline lifts on hover, and they press in when clicked.
- The region and sort dropdowns show a proper arrow instead of a greater than sign.
- Version and age no longer stretch to fill their cell.
- Fixed a server row losing its hover highlight when the list refreshed under your cursor.
- Fixed the region column being half the width it needed, so places like Los Angeles wrapped.
- Fixed the line under each server name being unreadable, with its two halves overlapping.
Interface
- Rebuilt the hub's look to match the game: the same near black panels, outlines, corners and fonts, with error and status messages using the game's notification cards.
- The donations screen uses those same cards instead of its own popup.
- The clear button sits inside the code box instead of floating in the middle of the row.
- Section headings no longer shout in bright green.
- The intro comes up in a fixed order rather than racing the rest of the menu.
- Fixed the server creation menu's EXPORT button sitting on top of the IMPORT button.
- Fixed the create menu's title being far smaller and dimmer than the join window's.
- Fixed rounded corners being sized as a percentage, so one style looked different on every element.
- Fixed the intro screen staying loaded on top of the browser for the whole session.
Donations
- Rebuilt the gift window and restyled the donations screen to match the game. It fits any screen, every field is readable, and there is no more brown, purple and blue tinting.
- Added a running summary of exactly what you are about to send and to whom.
- Removed the perk lists from the donation tiers, and donation goals no longer promise specific rewards.
- The donation leaderboard marks its top three by rank number rather than tinting the whole row.
- Gift amount buttons, the username box and the message box are actual boxes now, and Send Gift reads as the main action instead of looking the same as Cancel.
- The gift window can send the large tier amounts. It only ever offered six of the ten it accepts.
- Typing a name tells you whether they are in this server or away and shows their avatar, rejects symbols as you type instead of after a round trip, and the message box shows how many characters you have left.
- Fixed the back button sitting underneath the Roblox menu bar.
- Fixed a missing character showing as an empty box on the gift window's close button.
- Fixed the gift window snapping out of existence when you closed it. It fades out now.
- Fixed the GIFT button's label sitting off to the right instead of centred.
Donations Backend
- Gift messages go through Roblox's text filter before anyone sees them, and one that cannot be filtered is dropped rather than shown unfiltered.
- The donation purchase prompt can no longer be spammed, and the gift amount limit matches the largest amount you can actually buy.
- Fixed a gift message or username being able to ping an entire Discord through the donation log.
- Fixed names and messages with formatting characters breaking the donation log's layout.
- Fixed buying a gift and leaving straight away crediting you instead of the person you sent it to.
- Fixed a player gifted a huge number of times while offline risking losing the lot.
