Human

Spawning

  • Sleeping bags last 3 spawns, camp tents 10 and beds 25 before they are used up.
  • Up to 2 tribemates can share your bed or sleeping bag as their spawn. Without a tribe, 1 other person can.
  • A sleeping bag, tent or bed that has been slept in can not be packed up. Moving one keeps its remaining uses.
  • Fixed survivors appearing grey for a few seconds after spawning. They now appear fully dressed, and sooner.
  • Fixed wiping a character from the menu keeping everything in that team's inventory.

Stamina

  • Fixed survivor stamina draining and refilling slower than its set rates on busy servers.

Movement

  • Fixed holding S while going prone turning the survivor round to face the camera and leaving them lying on their back. Holding S while prone crawls backwards.
  • Fixed the first person camera spinning when looking straight down.

Crafting

  • Plate Armour, the Metal Helm, the Modern Axe, the Crossbow and the Machete use Metal Sheets in place of most of their iron ingots.
  • Flint and Steel, the Torch and the Sleeping Bag are crafted by hand from Quick Craft. They no longer need a Workbench or Tannery.
  • Quick Craft's Available Only filter turns off when you respawn, so the recipe list is not left empty after a death empties your bag.
  • Fixed crafts taking longer than their listed time on busy servers.

Combat

  • The Stone Flinger can no longer be crafted. It is found as loot only.
  • Holding the attack button no longer keeps swinging a melee weapon. Each swing takes its own click.
  • Body armour no longer stops bleeding on the arms, hands, legs and feet. It still stops it on the head and torso.
  • The Benelli M3 no longer racks after reloading, and fires every 0.3 seconds instead of 0.4.
  • Bows, crossbows and the blowgun only show an arrow or dart while one is loaded.
  • Fixed cloak energy draining and recharging slower than its set rates on busy servers.
  • Potential fix for a Triceratops, or any dinosaur that throws its target, keeping a survivor on the ground by throwing them again while they were already down. Survivors now get 4 seconds after getting up before they can be knocked down again, the same as dinosaurs.
  • Fixed arrows and darts hanging in mid air after hitting a dinosaur, a body or an animal that then moved. They stay stuck in what they hit.
  • Potential fix for guns doing a melee hit on click while you were holding aim, and not firing again until aim was released and pressed.

Tools

  • Fixed flashlight batteries lasting longer than 5 minutes on busy servers.
  • Fixed being unable to throw or hand feed the rest of a stack of food after throwing or feeding one.
  • Potential fix for not seeing other people's radio messages while your radio is put away. They now also show in the chat tab you are looking at.

Research

  • Research only counts down while you are playing as a survivor. On another team or in the menu it pauses, and the research bar is hidden.
  • Fixed tech names piling on top of each other on the research tree when zoomed out. They hide when zoomed far out, and hovering a tech still shows its name.
  • Fixed the research table leaving you stuck in first person with no mouse. Opening it moves the camera out of first person until you close it.
Dinosaur

Progression

  • Public Access dinosaurs no longer earn XP.

Spawning

  • Dinosaurs spawn a little higher and are held in place a moment longer before dropping. Fixes flyers like Dimorphodon spawning in the ground.

Stamina

  • Flying costs stamina while flapping, and boosting costs as much as sprinting. Gliding is free but stamina does not refill until you land. Flying used to cost nothing and even refilled the bar.
  • Fixed stamina draining and refilling slower than its set rates, by up to a fifth on busy servers.
  • Fixed flyers carrying on losing stamina for a few seconds after letting go of sprint in the air.
  • Fixed dinosaurs, most noticeably young Acrocanthosaurus and Tyrannosaurus, not getting stamina back after running out unless they rested.

Carrying

  • Objects have to fit the depth of the jaws as well as their length. Smaller dinosaurs can no longer pick up sticks, rocks, logs or boulders much thicker than their own heads. Meat and fruit are cut to fit instead.
  • Tapping the grab key on a body carries or drags it. Holding the key takes a chunk of meat instead.
  • Fixed dinosaurs being able to drag things that are not bodies, like plants, which could pull them through the map. Only bodies up to twice what you can carry can be dragged.
  • Picking up Loose Stone or Flint Pebbles takes one stone from the pile instead of the whole pile. A stone left untouched disappears after 7 minutes.

Survival

  • Tree trunks, stumps and branches can no longer be eaten. Only leaves are eaten, and a trunk only goes when the tree is knocked over or felled. Dead trees with no leaves are not food.
  • Only semi-aquatic carnivores eat fish: Coelophysis, Deinosuchus, Kaprosuchus, Spinosaurus, Suchomimus and the Twins. Every other dinosaur, including Pachycephalosaurus, Oviraptor and Protoceratops, no longer eats or catches fish.
  • Fixed eating, grazing and drinking restoring less than their set rates on busy servers.
  • Fixed eating a beehive eating the tree it hangs on instead, stripping the whole canopy. A hive, fruit or body within reach is now eaten before a tree.

Scent

  • Fixed carved meat chunks not showing up when smelling for food, and scent now follows a chunk while it is carried.

Movement

  • Dinosaurs with no stand up animation can not get up from resting or sleeping by moving. Press the rest key instead.
  • Fixed dinosaurs climbing up trees and objects steeper than their maximum slope.
  • Attempted fix for recovering from a ragdoll under a tree placing the dinosaur up in the tree.
  • Fixed Compsognathus rolling over and swimming upside down underwater, and being thrown out of the water when entering it.
  • Fixed Gigantism and Dwarfism leaving a dinosaur floating or sunk into the ground, most visibly while resting or after moving.
  • Fixed walking down into some caves teleporting you back to the entrance.
  • Fixed a short dive leaving flyers at top speed for a long time afterwards. Extra dive speed wears off within a few seconds, and gliders keep theirs as before.
  • Fixed flyers sliding forwards at sprint speed when landing without holding sprint.
  • Pachycephalosaurus can drift for up to 1.5 seconds.
  • The quick get up from resting is Shift + W. W alone gets up normally.
  • Fixed flying or gliding into caves, like the Redwoods cave, pulling you back to where you came in.

Combat

  • A Tyrannosaurus slam that destroys a vehicle blows it up on the spot.
  • Gallimimus's kick knocks down and throws targets up to its own weight about 30 studs.
  • Amargasaurus can tail whip while steering its tail, and steering stays on through the whip.
  • Triceratops's bite only knocks down animals up to 1000 kg.
  • Fixed dinosaurs killed within a few seconds of getting up from a knockdown not ragdolling, and their bodies falling apart or through the ground. A body can no longer be stood back up by the get-up either.
  • Potential fix for a rider's camera falling through the map when the dinosaur they are riding is knocked down. The rider is now thrown off instead of staying seated on the ragdoll.
  • Potential fix for Amargasaurus's tail sinking into the ground while steering it unless the camera faced upwards. The tail now stops at the ground.
  • Fixed attacks on trees throwing an error after the tree was shaken or knocked down.
  • Potential fix for Triceratops keeping dinosaurs stunned. A knocked down dinosaur can attack again as soon as it is back up, instead of up to 7 seconds later.
  • Dilophosaurus venom works at every age. Subadult and adult bites applied no venom before.
  • Fixed Dilophosaurus's extra damage against envenomed animals checking the wrong animal for venom.
  • Fixed a knockdown sometimes dealing fall damage twice for the same landing.

Animations

  • The broadcasting status stays up until the broadcast wears off, instead of ending with the call.
  • Fixed male Parasaurolophus playing no animation for the broadcast call while standing still.
  • Fixed pressing an emote key again restarting the emote. It now plays through.
  • Fixed an emote used while moving playing again from the start when you stopped. It carries on from where it was.
  • Fixed dinosaurs leaning from side to side while walking in a straight line. The lean and the neck and tail turning now follow how fast the animal is actually turning.
  • Fixed calls used while moving playing again from the start when you stopped.
  • Emote sounds like foot scrapes play with Particle Effects turned off.
  • Fixed Carnotaurus's threat emotes playing no sound.
Universal

Interface

  • Added a condition bar to hotbar slots. It appears once a tool or weapon is worn and runs from green to red as it wears down.
  • Interaction panels no longer block your weapon while you are stood at a single prompt.
  • Fixed the interact key doing nothing unless zoomed all the way in. A survivor's own trade prompt was taking the key.
  • Fixed prompts occasionally going unresponsive until rejoining.
  • Fixed the tutorial's glide step needing more than 2 seconds of gliding on busy servers.
  • Fixed a repaired tool still reading as worn until it was re-equipped.
  • Potential fix for lockers becoming completely unusable until rejoining. Closing and reopening the locker now also clears it.
  • Fixed the locker counting your issued radio, PDA, wrench and keycard towards the 6 field equipment limit.
  • Fixed the status bar going blank while effects like bleeding and the combat timer were active.
  • Fixed carnivores showing a green diet tag on the dinosaur selection screen. It is red.
  • Potential fix for the chat disappearing after a return to the menu did not go through.
  • Dinosaur XP on the map shows the full number, like 500,124 instead of 500k.
  • Potential fix for the diet list on the dinosaur selection screen cutting off its last entries when scrolled to the bottom.

Groups

  • Sending a tribe application shows a notification, and applicants are told when their request is declined.
  • Joining a group shows a notification naming the group.
  • Squad and pack invites are limited to 5 a minute, and the same player can not be invited again while an invite to them is still waiting.
  • Turning down an invite stops anyone in that group inviting you again for 2 minutes.
  • Join and Apply buttons only change to Joined or Applied once the request goes through.
  • Tribe members share age objective progress. Hunting, gathering, crafting and finishing structures counts for every tribe member online at the time.
  • Fixed the player list showing your tribe's allies and enemies while you are playing a dinosaur.
  • Fixed kills made or taken while playing a dinosaur counting towards a tribe war.

Tracking

  • Trackers and attached cameras only break off when the hit lands where they are attached, or an explosion goes off beside them. A hit anywhere else no longer has a chance to knock them off. For trackers that means the body part the tracker sits on, so a hit on the neck or legs of a small dinosaur no longer counts.
  • Dinosaurs are no longer told when a tracker on them breaks off.

Map

  • Added a size slider to the map drawing tools. Drawing and erasing each keep their own size.
  • Marks are placed from the map only. The Mark key is gone.
  • Map marks are limited to 4 every 30 seconds.
  • Explored ground now lasts the session and is no longer saved to your account.
  • Fixed newly explored ground fading in slower than intended at low framerates.
  • Fixed dinosaurs seeing their own and their packmates' survivor bases and territory on the map.

Audio

  • River sounds follow the Ambience volume slider.
  • Rivers are 20% quieter.
  • Suchomimus attacks are 20% louder.
  • Fixed world audio carrying on through the death screen, including rivers and the ocean.

Building

  • Structures can be built from materials in storage crates inside the claim you are standing in, the same as crafting. Your own inventory is used first.
  • Dinosaurs no longer see the health bar over damaged structures.
  • Tribe banners can not be planted where their claim would overlap another tribe's claim.
  • Traps, ballistas and deployed items like campfires, bedrolls and tents can not be placed inside another tribe's claim.
  • Survivor structures lose 1% of their health every second once no tribe banner's claim covers them, until they break or a banner is planted again.
  • Fixed pressing X to cancel placing a structure, or to leave build or modify mode, also raising your fists.
  • Fixed E&L command being able to disassemble survivor structures. Their override only covers department structures.
  • Fixed generators, field batteries and light towers burning less than 1 fuel a second on busy servers.
  • Fixed totems healing less than 3 health a second on busy servers.
  • Fixed standing in a campfire setting you alight slower than intended on busy servers.
  • Fixed storm and hurricane wear on structures landing slower than its set rate on busy servers.
  • Fixed the pitfall trap standing on top of the ground. It is set into the ground with its cover level with the surface.

Trading

  • Survivors can trade with Callisto Innovations, Island Rangers, Genetics & Research and Engineering & Logistics.
  • Guns, grenades and research finds can not be traded between survivors and Callisto teams.

Harvesting

  • Dinosaur corpses give materials by the size of the animal, rising smoothly from about 4 items for the smallest to about 70 for the largest sauropods.
  • Scattered resources on the map give 1 to 3 materials per pickup instead of up to 12.
  • Fixed a second survivor chopping a felled tree after it was cleared getting the logs again.
  • Fixed trees suddenly standing back up while felled or soon after regrowing.
  • Fixed a cleared felled tree being bucked again for more resources.

Vehicles

  • Destroyed cars leave a burnt out wreck that burns and smokes for about a minute and a half instead of vanishing.
  • Land vehicles stall after 6 seconds fully under water instead of the moment they touch it, and a short dip no longer stalls the engine. A stalled engine can be restarted 5 seconds after leaving the water instead of 8.
  • Water only counts toward a vehicle stalling where it is at least half full, so the thin surface layer is ignored.
  • Burning cars only set you alight if you stand in the flames. Being near one or sat inside it no longer does.
  • Fixed helicopters spawning several studs above the helipad and dropping onto it, which could break their wheels or blow them up. They now spawn resting on the ground.
  • Fixed walking straight into the Mobile Lab through the gap under its lab section.
  • Fixed fuel station refill zones pumping less than 40 fuel a second out of a tanker on busy servers.
  • Fixed burning vehicles setting nearby people alight slower than intended on busy servers.

Supply

  • Fixed the supply ship's arrival countdown running behind the ship on busy servers.

World

  • Dinosaurs no longer see or hear the hurricane warning or the landfall countdown.
  • Fixed pyres burning longer than their set time on busy servers, and unlit pyres cooling off too slowly.
  • Fixed beehive swarms stinging and calming down slower than intended on busy servers.
  • Potential fix for destroying a beehive in Roleplay knocking down large groups of trees. A hit, blast, chop or bite on a hive only ever affects the hive.
  • Fixed swimming off the edge of the map dropping you into the void and killing you. Survivors and dinosaurs are put back in the water where there was still ground below them.
  • After spawning, being teleported or being relocated somewhere the ground has not loaded yet, you are held in place until it loads, for up to 10 seconds, instead of falling through the map.

Admin

  • Added :age for testers. It moves your research to the next age, or to the age you give it.
  • When no public test is running, QA get the same access in Roleplay as in Sandbox, and their progress there saves to a separate QA save instead of the normal Roleplay one.
  • The staff panel's Data tab on Roleplay has a QA save switch, so QA saves can be viewed, rolled back and wiped the same way as normal ones.
  • QA can set their own research age, fill the current age's objectives, unlock everything, reset, or toggle single techs from a bar on the tech tree in Sandbox.
  • Added a player list to the tracker panel, searchable by name, which opens a player without needing line of sight.
  • The player whose tracker readout is open stays outlined until it is closed.
  • Spectating from the staff panel hides the panel, and closing the panel no longer stops the spectate. Press [ to bring the panel back.
  • Fixed QA playtime tracking dropping part of a second every time it saved.
  • Fixed :spawnnpc not suggesting or accepting an NPC or species name, so it could not be run.
  • Fixed :venom applying venom that never dealt damage.
