Release Roleplay Update 7 - Patch 1
Published at 2026-09-20 07:55:03 UTC
Human

Combat

  • Guns, bows, spears and melee weapons no longer have a condition and never wear out.
  • Death always drops your weapons on the body. Everything else still has a chance to be kept.
  • Tranquilised survivors stay down until the dose wears off, instead of standing up after a couple of seconds.
  • Fixed the ballista registering five hits per bolt, which downed a helicopter in one shot.
  • Fixed equipping a weapon after being grabbed freezing the character in mid air.

Weapons

  • The Benelli M3 fires on a semi auto animation instead of a pump action, and cycles from 0.3 to 0.22 seconds.
  • The C-45 and C-9 holster on the right hip instead of the left, where they clipped the radio.

Turrets

  • Heavy Cannon damage raised from 46 to 165.

Locker

  • Equip Best Gear only fills empty slots, so it cannot hand out a second copy of a weapon already drawn.

Emotes

  • The sit emote no longer turns the head and body to follow the camera.

Chat

  • Proximity chat is selected on spawn instead of the chat box starting on no channel.
  • Switching teams off a radio net drops you back to Proximity.

Reports

  • A report always lists whoever last attacked you, including a dinosaur on a Humans report.
Dinosaur

Combat

  • Parasaurolophus' kick throws props and knocks humans down.
  • Parasaurolophus' headbutt knocks humans back.
  • Ceratosaurus' tail whip lands with a blunt impact and its thrash draws blood.
  • Protoceratops' bite draws blood instead of a blunt impact.
  • Carnotaurus' charge throws along the ground instead of lobbing, and lands as a blunt impact. Same distance, much lower arc.
  • Pachycephalosaurus charge force raised from 20 to 55.
  • A charge hits everything it runs through instead of one target at a time.
  • Charging damages cars. It used to pass straight through them.
  • Dinosaur attacks and abilities can damage aircraft.
  • Trampling kicks the victim clear about four times in ten, instead of only flattening them.
  • Stegosaurus throws an impaled victim off its thagomizers on a second press.
  • Fixed being devoured or grabbed displacing the camera.

Movement

  • Strafing engages at any speed instead of only below a trot, and doubles as a brake. Holding it overrides sprint.
  • Deinosuchus, Suchomimus and the other semi aquatics keep their speed coming out of water instead of stopping at the bank.
  • Amargasaurus swim speed lowered from 15 to 10.
  • Brachiosaurus' run cadence slowed by 40 percent.

Flight

  • Taking off needs Jump held rather than tapped, with a bar showing the hold. A tap is just a hop.

Swimming

  • Held poses no longer play in water. Emotes, roars and the rest drop their pose on entering.
  • Fixed the swim animation playing backwards while diving.

Carrying

  • Carried objects hang in the jaws instead of sitting on top of the snout.
  • Eating while carrying a chunk of meat eats the chunk, not the corpse underfoot.

Diet

  • Cryolophosaurus eats anything. Every other species keeps its diet.

Emotes

  • Fixed yawning as Diabloceratops locking the head in place.

Vocals

  • Fixed the aggressive call playing its animation twice.

Resting

  • Fixed resting and sleeping poses being pulled out of shape by leg placement.

Reactions

  • The flinch no longer plays while walking or running, which made the character slide.

Camera

  • Oviraptor, Compsognathus and Dodo zoom out three times further.
  • Fixed the camera zooming far out of the map after gaining Gigantism or Dwarfism.

Appearance

  • Added Edmontosaurus skins: Bright Green, Green and Red.
  • Fixed Echoraptor spawning with a tracker it was never given.

Effects

  • Footstep splashes are sized to the animal. Small animals threw one three times too big.
NPCs
  • Fixed predators being unable to damage other animals, so a hunt never ended in a kill.
  • Fixed NPC bites doing half their listed damage.
Building

Controls

  • Building keys no longer also fire the action bound to them. R no longer draws the radio and F no longer toggles the helmet light.
  • Walking, getting up and the menu key still work while placing.

Power

  • Generators and field batteries run on unlimited fuel and need no refuelling (temporary).
Vehicles

Handling

  • Boats steer while stopped. Holding the throttle turns one on the spot.

Exiting

  • Fixed leaving a boat in shallow water dropping you underneath it.

Fuel

  • Added a Fill Can prompt to fuel pumps. Holding F at a pump fills a carried jerry can.
  • Fixed pointing a jerry can at a fuel pump pouring into the pump instead of filling the can.

Wrecks

  • A destroyed vehicle falls and lands instead of freezing where it died, carrying its momentum with it.
  • A burning vehicle no longer sets fire to anything Ceratosaurus sized or larger.
World
  • Trees fall faster the harder they are hit. A charge drops one in under half the time an axe does.
  • A falling tree throws up a cloud of whatever it lands on, sized to the trunk.
  • The hurricane warning is broadcast over the radio only. It used to play from the radio and the screen at once.
Universal

Ragdolls

  • Knockback forces retuned across the board.
  • Ragdolls have no cooldown, so a body can be put down again straight away.
  • Being flung rolls and twists the body instead of holding its pose.
  • Knockback applies to the dead and to corpses.
  • Where a hit lands decides whether the target goes down. An Ankylosaurus tail slam has a 42 percent chance of ragdolling a Tyrannosaurus on the head.

Audio

  • Creature vocals are quieter and carry a direction.

Effects

  • Restored the blood textures that had been moderated.
Interface
  • The vehicle speedometer and fuel readout hide while the menu is open instead of drawing over the map.
  • Moved the helicopter fast rope panel up off the survival stat bars.
