Unlockable Progression Rewards: Weapon Skins and Challenge Badges

I think there should be some more interesting form of progression. Something that we are able to unlock for playing a lot of the game. This could be weapon skins or even just badges for doing very difficult challenges. I think it would add to the game and give a reason to play more. I'm really enjoying the game but after playing for a few hours I just feel as though I'm playing for no reason.
