Display Current Server Region and Player Input Method in UI
Split
sorry I used AI to clean this up to follow the guildance for submitting a request but the original is at the bottom.
🖥️ UI Features
1. Show Current Server Info
Feature Request: Display the server region you're currently connected to during a match (e.g., US East, US West, EU, etc.). Ideally, allow players to select a preferred server region before queueing.
Scenario Example: Before starting a match, I can select "Central US" as my preferred server. If I don’t choose one, it defaults to lowest ping.
Benefit: This provides transparency and allows players to avoid high-ping matches. It also lets groups coordinate more fairly when spread across regions.
1A. Add Central Servers
Feature Request: Spin up Central US servers to provide a neutral option for players across North America.
Scenario Example: Instead of defaulting to US East (as SG1 did), players from Texas and California can get more balanced ping on a Central server.
Benefit: Reduces ping disparity in competitive games. Even with good netcode, ping impacts**** registration and can affect UE5 performance, especially with frame pacing issues on higher latency.
🎮 Crossplay & Input-Based Matchmaking
2. Display Player Input Method in UI
Feature Request: Add an in-game UI indicator for each player showing if they’re using a controller or mouse & keyboard (MKB).
Scenario Example: In the scoreboard or killcam, I can see whether my opponent is on MKB or controller.
Benefit: Transparency during matches. I don’t care what platform they’re on—just what input device they're using. That’s what affects aim dynamics.
2A. Make Crossplay Input-Based
Feature Request: Allow input-based matchmaking toggle (Controller vs MKB), rather than platform-based (Console vs PC).
Scenario Example: I can opt out of playing against controller players if I’m on mouse and keyboard—or vice versa.
Benefit: Ensures fairer skill-based competition. I want to avoid aim-assist-based interactions if I’m trying to compete with raw input precision. Willing to accept longer queue times for this.

I have a few UI requests? and other requests in relation.
1) Can we have a UI that tells us what server we are currently playing on. Or even better have the ability to choose that before we Queue up?
A) And in relation to that, can we have central servers spun up? I think its not very chill that East was the standard for competitive in SG1, ping matters no matter how good the net code is. It especially effects frame rate sometimes in UE5 because idk why but other games I've had this issue.
2) Can we PLEASE get a UI indicator of INPUT device being used by players, I don't really care if they are on steam or console or epic. I only care if its a ROLLER PLAYER OR MOUSE AND KEY.
A) WITH THE ABOVE, please let crossplay be INPUT BASED not console vs PC. I don't wanna play with cheaters who think they are good who put little to no effort into aim because of marketing gimmicks to get console players to play FPS games. let me turn it off queue times be d***ed.
