Add Mech Game Mode with Customization and Unique Abilities in Splitgate 2

The CEO said he wishes for Titanfall 3 to release, which doesn't seem like it will happen. But honestly? Splitgate 2 is in the prime position to cement its legacy as a unique portal sci-fi fantasy shooter by including a Big Team (Onslaught) Titan game mode. It would be the perfect blend of Halo, Titanfall, and Portal combined, and gamers are dying for a Titanfall-like game to release, so why not add them to Splitgate to give the gamers what they want? The titans would have skins, so development costs would be made up for with the plethora of customization options that this would open up. First, titans should probably be called "mechs" in Splitgate, and each faction would have its own mech class, further differentiating the factions. The rest of this feature request will be ideas about how mechs can be balanced within the Splitgate universe, and to differentiate it significantly from Titanfall to make it unique: Mechs will use the Splitgate 2 ability system, where you can swap perks and equipment between rounds, such as: - a booster jet equipment to allow mechs to fly quickly in the air for a limited time (Aeros mech) - a hitscan healing laser beam that if it hits a damaged teammate ace, it will regenerate their HP immediately to full health (Meridian mech). - Mech melees one-hit KOing aces could be a perk, with the downside of melee animations taking longer and being more telegraphed (Sabrask mech), where the base melee for all mechs is two hits to KO, and with a faster melee cooldown than aces. - A Sabrask mech ability could be to swing a sword in an arc in front of you with a short range that one-hit KOs enemy aces (great for threatening objectives). Splitgate mechs can portal around the map, but only on large enough portal walls. Perhaps instead, there could even be special portal walls that only the mechs can use, separate from the ace portal walls. The mechs aren’t too much bigger than aces, unlike in Titanfall; maybe 1.4x taller than aces, and 3-4x as wide. Aces can step into mech portals, but mechs are too big for ace portals. Mechs also use thrusters to traverse the map without portals since they can’t slide, and the thrusters aren’t as fast as an ace momentum cross-sliding across the map, but are faster than a sprinting ace. To spawn the mechs in, players must get kills, capture objectives, and collect power weapons to build up their mech meter up to 100% before spawning it. While using the mech, the mech meter will go up much slower. Unlike in Titanfall, where pilots can disembark from the titan with the titan still on the arena, for Splitgate, players can’t disembark from the mechs until they die (so that players carefully choose when to use it instead of passively spawning it in to use whenever). The mech health system will be crucial, and I've taken inspiration from Battlefront's health system for heroes, which rewards aggression to make sure mechs don’t play too passively, while making sure they don’t stay on the arena for too long with the permanent damage aspect. The mech health system is like Star Wars Battlefront 2 for their heroes/jedis, where when it takes enough damage all at once to reach a certain threshold of around 75 damage or more, the mech takes permanent damage. It can slowly regenerate health up to full when not taking damage, and in order to regain lost permanent damage, mechs must kill enemies, where each kill regains about 25 HP for each ace kill, and 50 or 75 HP for each mech kill. In summary, I wish for a mech gamemode in Splitgate 2 inspired by Titanfall 2’s pilots vs. titans gamemode with a system to spawn mechs similar to Titanfall, a health system for the mechs similar to Star Wars Battlefront 2 from their heroes system, and of course, inspired by Splitgate itself, where mechs can portal across the map and use Splitgate 2’s ability system to choose the ability the mechs can use to complement the gameplay loop, with mech skins for each faction to make up for development costs.
