Optional Challenges with Gameplay-Based Progression and Ranked Levels
Progress needs to be refocused around gameplay instead of challenges, but I'm not saying get rid of challenges, but make it optional, instead battle pass tickets would be earned through gameplay and playing the objective instead of being single minded focusing on their challenges. Have a levelling system similar to Titanfall 2 where you earn levels or ranks then gen up once max level is reached, so you can reach the max rank in the next gen, with cosmetics tied to generations for each class.
Also don't take away any new Battle Passes after Season 1.
Season 2 should be all about improving your levelling systems, and keep certain cosmetics behind challenges, imagine Halo 3's Hayabusa Armor in Splitgate 2.
You need to keep players coming back, and the progression is what will keep the casual audience.
