Add a 'Hot Potato' Game Mode with Explosive Mechanics
Hello, I'm sorry this isn't necessarily a feature, but rather a game mode that I wanted to pitch for fun. Remember the good ol' Halo multiplayer days? I see a lot of influence from Halo, and I love it. Something that I really enjoyed in Halo was oddball. It was a unique and entertaining mode, that I'm sure needs no explanation. Obviously, you can tell what direction I'm heading in - add oddball! However, I will say that a copycat of oddball probably wouldn't be as much fun as an original idea. My concept was inspired by your large maps featured in BR and 24 player onslaught - the basic premise being a team mode as well as free for all mode based around the larger maps. The basic idea of oddball, with the player holding it being able to 1-hit melee, but with at least 16 players or 2 teams of 8 and 8 or even 12 and 12. Perhaps more players would be even more chaotic and exciting! Another consideration was raw skill and game knowledge allowing a player to ball-hog and wreck the opposition, which I reply to with a timer for each ball, before it detonates and resets in rotating positions/spawn point. Oh, and when I say detonate I mean a rather large explosion, eliminating any player holding the ball or within a certain range of the ball. To make it even more fun - have the ability to toss the "oddball" so you can throw it off the map and force a reset, or even throw it at the last second so it detonates and gets you a special kill. I also thought about the jetpacks and speed abilities, and I believe for the ball carrier there should of course be a marker showing their position but also perhaps take away the jetpack ability and give a large speed boost. As for a name, hot potato? 🤣 Anyways, this is just a concept and something I'd personally love to see, regardless of whether my ideas are implemented. I miss oddball, basically. Thank you for this wonderful game though, and for reading my babbling!
