Please Remove the ability to look through portals. Its not a fun mechanic, it only further infuriates the players. I'm gonna drop a real big truth bomb and I mean no offense but it hurt the first game since it was so frusterating after people got used to it, and its doing the exact same thing to this game. It's such a simple change. Such a simple change, dont let people look through any portals, While you're at it let people portal to almost any spot on a map. 1. It encourages scummy/camping gameplay 2. its infuriating to die from a angle that spawned in a nanosecond ago that you cant see through 3. It removes the ability for someone to be able to place a portal in a unique spot and use it as a strong "blind fire" Doing this would drastically lower the skill ceiling, yes. But what would be in its place? Trying to think about the geometry of where you place a portal and the angle so that you can get a sneaky angle on someone to shoot them through while neither of you can shoot each other. Its a lower skill ceiling, but a far more fun one. Please Listen guys. I want this game to do good, I really do, I've said this for years but you just need to try it, Please.
