Add Ranked Elimination Mode, And Duo/Trio Elimination

Hello, I want to help improve the game I enjoy so much. Since launch, I felt that something crucial was missing: ranked mode. Competitive ranking is essential to keep players engaged and motivated to continue playing. Games like League of Legends, Counter-Strike, Valorant, and Rocket League thrive not because of constant new content, but because their ranked systems are addictive and rewarding. When Splitgate announced ranked mode, I was excited. But when it was revealed that you can’t choose which mode to play in ranked — and even worse, that Elimination wasn’t one of the game modes— I saw that as a big mistake. Let me explain why. The best mode for competitive play is Elimination. It requires strategy, strong teamwork, and skill — things that really show the difference between high- and low-ranked players. In the current ranked modes, players often ignore the objective and just go for kills. Elimination forces coordination and highlights individual and team performance, especially on small, fast-paced maps like there are now and the only objective are the kills. This is the kind of mode that would be exciting to watch in tournaments, and that players would love to master. Even better, adding duo or trio queues for Elimination would take the competitive experience to the next level. Not only that, but in Elimination mode it's much easier to determine each player's individual skill level in order to assign a more accurate rank and create better matchmaking. That's because kills in Elimination are more proportional to how much you actually help the team—unlike in modes like Splitball or the current ranked modes, where getting kills doesn't necessarily contribute to winning. If you’re not sure about removing current ranked modes, consider what Rocket League does: separate ranks for each mode. You could apply that here, and people will choose what game mode they want to rank up, I believe Elimination would quickly become the most played and most balanced mode in ranked. Not only that—the fact that there are 5 divisions per rank is another major issue. Games that have lasted for years with a loyal player base typically use 3 divisions per rank, and that’s no coincidence. Having 5 divisions makes ranking up harder and, more importantly, longer. This becomes tedious and boring for the player. Taking so long to progress isn’t exciting—it’s frustrating, especially when your team often doesn’t cooperate. Fewer divisions make the next rank feel closer and more attainable, even if the actual difficulty is the same due to "balanced" matchmaking. Seeing visible progress more often gives players the sense that they can rank up, which boosts motivation and engagement (and adding a reward for reaching a rank per season) . In contrast, having 5 divisions per rank makes the climb feel endless and discouraging. I genuinely believe that taking the ranked system in Splitgate in this direction will make the game longer-lasting and far more enjoyable. It’s no coincidence that games with a single core mode, a well-designed ranking system, and consistent structure over the years—like Counter-Strike or Rocket League—continue to thrive with massive, loyal communities. Players become addicted to ranked systems when they feel real, visible improvement in their gameplay. Simpler game modes and a straightforward ranking system make it easier to specialize, recognize personal growth, and feel rewarded. That’s the true formula: making progress feel achievable and letting players rise—or fall—based on their performance. It keeps the competition intense, personal, and endlessly engaging. Please take this message in the most positive way possible—I'm saying this because I care about this game, and I truly believe Splitgate has the potential to become one of the greats that lasts for years—if things are done right.
