1. Bring back punch trading. 2. Make tutorials/challenges for portaling from beginner to expert. People taught me tricks in custom matches over the years. They were quick lessons but they got me to where my skill level is now. You can do the same. But make them something that people want to earn. Just like ranked with badges that people can wield proudly. The last tutorials have to incorporate some really advanced moves or speed so people feel they really earned something. Every single person I taught... is still playing to this day. 3. Focus on adoption of portals. Put them in the dailies and weeklies. "Portal 20km for the week". Make it just as predominant as your "get 50 kills with a pistol" challenges. 4. You don't need to get 100% of people adopting portals initially but you need to increase the pool of adopters to create a domino effect. 5. The gimmicks like factions and BR reel the players in, the portals keep them in. 6. I have a lot of expertise in my work with adoption of systems including getting the entire department of 2000 committed to process improvement submissions by 4000% within a month and growing to this day through simple gamification. You have everything to make this work. You can get them in the door, you did. A stellar job but you didn't keep them in because you didn't get them to love the game for what it is. 7. Stop putting out so many videos of big streamers who kind of do kind of cool moves. Get the community to submit more of their epic moves and showcase those. Let people see how REALLY cool portaling is. These streamers you keep showing mostly just have good aiming. Big woop. 8. I can't stress this enough. Get them back in the door but focus on adoption to the core concept like your life depends on it. Shotgun approach it. You need that ball to start rolling. If I had your commitment to do that I'd trust that it would work where I'd sell every asset and max out all credit to invest in 1047 9. Think out of the box. Showcase the community like you do the labs and customs. Make it known to players when they open the game that there are a s*** load of loving fans who will gladly commit time to teach others. Think how golf players get together and discuss and show techniques. Build that kind of community. The best and easiest part is that there are so many loyal fans who have so much love in their hearts for the game and for others that they'd dedicate hours a month to teach others.
