Improved Respawn System and Loot Balance for Fairer Gameplay in Splitgate 2 BR

Hey devs,
Been really enjoying Splitgate 2 BR — the core gameplay is tight and portals make for a unique twist. But I think there’s a major pacing issue with the respawn system, and it’s dragging the whole mode down.
Right now, respawning is fast and frequent, which is great in theory. But in practice, it plays out like this:
I survive for a while, loot up, get into a fight, almost wipe a team, but get killed.
I respawn... with grey loot and no shields.
Meanwhile, the team that killed me still has high-tier gear and I get shredded the moment I re-engage.
This creates a punishing loop:
"Survive → gear up → die → respawn underpowered → die again → repeat."
The problem isn’t the respawn mechanic — it’s that the power curve (loot + shields) is too steep for a returning player to recover. Fast respawns only work when I can actually fight back after coming back.
Suggestions:
Give respawned players a baseline kit (e.g. blue shield + decent gun) so we’re not just free kills.
Consider dynamic drop-ins that let me choose between supporting my team quickly or looting safely.
Reduce the gap between base loot and high-tier gear, or at least tweak shield scaling to make re-engaging fairer.
Focus on keeping the momentum fun, not grindy or one-sided.
Respawns should feel like “I’m back in it,” not “I’m starting from zero while they’re gods now.” Fix that loop, and this mode will go from “cool idea” to “actually sticky.”

PS: maybe work on the view from airship as well, right now it doesn’t look very good, maybe because of serve capacity of render distance. It’s not a technical limitation but it takes away from the games overall polish and will subconsciously turn new players away.
