Removal of hidden deadzone for controller: Expose and Adjust Inner Controller Deadzone for Improved Precision
Open
There appears to be a hidden inner deadzone applied to controller input that remains active even when the in game deadzone slider is set to zero. As a result, small thumbstick movements are not registered until a minimum threshold is crossed.
This causes a noticeable disconnect between input and response, creating the perception of input latency and reducing aiming precision. Fine micro adjustments and smooth target tracking are especially affected, despite the controller hardware being capable of much higher input resolution.
Exposing the inner deadzone as a fully adjustable parameter or allowing it to be completely disabled would improve input responsiveness, precision, and consistency. This would better align controller input with player intent without affecting game balance.
