An annotated example with an accompanying video is linked below this long writing: As it currently stands, you have a scenario right now with the "Plow" shotgun and the "Punch" heavy pistol (and potentially more weapons) where I am incentivized to have to annoyingly press the reload key after every single shot and literally whenever the gun is out. The reason I am incentivized to press reload after every shot or after the gun is out is because I can freely cancel the reload whenever I want, so I might as well ALWAYS be reloading a shell at any time which feels SUPER ANNOYING given how frequently players shoot a gun. I propose that you allow for a controls setting where I can force weapons of my choosing to autoreload at the earliest possible moment whether that be after a shot or immediately after being drawn or after shooting a portal etc. etc... The "code" for this is already in the game with auto-reloads after firing the last shot in your magazine, I just need that to apply all literally the time to certain weapons of my choosing.
