Custom Splitcoin Purchase Option and Improved Shop Pricing Transparency

Hey Splitgate team, I wanted to share some honest feedback about the shop pricing, especially as someone in New Zealand. At the moment, a lot of the bundles and cosmetics are really expensive. For example, the Nano Swarm Bundle costs 4,000 Splitcoin. To actually buy that, I’d need to spend NZ$72.90 for the 5,500 Splitcoin pack, since there’s no smaller option that covers 4,000. That’s over $70 just for one bundle, which is basically the same price as a brand new AAA game here. Another thing that’s frustrating is that you can’t buy the exact amount of Splitcoin you need for a specific item or bundle. For example, if I only want 4,000 Splitcoin, I have to overbuy and get the 5,500 pack, which leaves me with leftover coins I might not even use. A lot of games only let you buy fixed amounts, but some now offer the option to purchase exactly the amount of currency you want for your purchase. I think this would be a great improvement for Splitgate and would make people feel better about spending. How I think this could work: When you go to buy Splitcoin, there could be an option to enter a custom amount, up to a certain limit if needed. You could also have a slider to pick the exact number of coins. The price would automatically update based on how many Splitcoin you select, so you’re only paying for what you actually plan to use. If you’re about to purchase an item or bundle, the game could offer a “Buy exact amount needed” button. This would make it super quick and simple for players who just want to pick up one thing. This would also cut down on leftover currency that sits unused, and would probably make a lot of players, myself included, feel much better about spending. I’ve seen some games add this feature recently, and it really helps with transparency and overall trust. I think it would be a big win for Splitgate’s community. At the same time, I’ve noticed there are some more reasonable options in the shop, like some of the weekly rotation items at 500 or 800 Splitcoin. I actually think that’s a positive step. I just wish there was more consistency in the pricing, and that it was clearer what makes something “premium” or why certain bundles cost what they do. Here’s what I think would help: Offer a wider range of cheaper cosmetics, not just the big expensive bundles. Be clearer about what makes an item premium, like if it is limited edition, has special effects, or took extra development work. Make bundle discounts and value more obvious, so we know what we’re actually saving or getting for our money. Allow us to purchase a custom amount of Splitcoin instead of just fixed packs, so we can buy exactly what we need for an item or bundle. Even having a “buy exact amount needed for this item” button would be great. Consider region-based sales or loyalty rewards, since it can be a lot harder for players outside the US to afford these prices. I’m attaching screenshots of the shop, the Splitcoin prices, and some of the weekly rotation items for context. I really do want to support the game, but sometimes the prices make it hard. I know I am not the only one who feels this way. I really appreciate all the work you put into Splitgate. Hopefully this helps give some perspective from the player side. Thanks for reading.
