So I think we should trail a separate battle royal playlist where there are no automatic respawns. instead, when somebody is killed they are in a downed state and can be finished by the enemy, have a 30 second window to be revived by a team mate (if they are revived, they will need to apply armour plates), if they are finished or not revived within the 30 second window they will be out of the game and spectating their remaining team mates. the only way they can be respawned is if a team mate buys them back from the shop. I do think there is an audience for the current BR experience but I also think there are A LOT of people who are turned off by the idea of killing 2-3 enemies multiple times without being unable to find the last enemy who is hiding so his team can respawn again with armour and viable guns whilst also fighting off any third party teams that will eventually hear/see what's going on. I think giving people the choice of both modes is a great way to be inclusive to everyone and the pacing they enjoy.
