Explanation

I was rebuilding my factories and while linking a large grey core facility to a drone port, i was succesful and pressed escape. But, the linking tool never stopped being selected. I couldn't select any new buildings to link with, build anything else, select any other building. I was completely stuck. No keybinds were working either (not even ESC) to open the menu, i had to manually select the menu button top right. Reloading the save fixed the issue.
