Explanation
Hello, I have a strange issue. I have 4 miners (15/m out) set up inputting into a furnace (60/m in and 15/m out). Then I have two of the that merging in the conveyer belt, outputting at 30/m in total. So now I have a 30/m cubes coming out. When I feed it into a splitter, and set it to cut in 2 lines (30/m in and 60/m out), this works great, and I can see in efficiency mode, everything green. However the problem comes as soon as I change the splitter to cut in 4 lines (30/m in and 120/m out). When this happens, the cubes start to backlog behind the splitter. I did some testing, and I figured out that when you are cutting into 4 pieces, the input of the splitter is actually 15/m and output is 120/m because it takes more time to cut the pieces. However it still shows as 30/m in and 120/m out. In efficiency mode, it also shows its yellow color as a result, however nothing is actually getting backlogged.
Is this a bug? It feels like the number of pieces should also affect the input throughput amount, but the game doesn't factor this into the number.
