Explanation

I was refactoring some of my older builds and removing parts that were no longer useful, like basic robots. I already delivered over 300K. While tracing back an empty set of belts, I returned to the source: one of my blue paint builds. The feed-in belts showed that there was plenty of blue powder and oil, but the oil was not being inserted. I tried to clear one segment of belt with the Z command. That did nothing. I selected all of the input belts and splitters and repeated the Z command. Still nothing. I deleted the first two belts attached to the oil rig. No output. I picked up, rotated, and placed the oil rig. Still no output. This island has as second oil source a little bit to the south, assuming the game's original orientation from start. I placed belts out the oil rig output. No output.

I saved the file as 20260411o, hoping that a quick, save, and reload would clear the issue. It did not. Returned to file n. Still nothing. I returned to file m, and the oil rig it working perfectly. When loaded file n again, the oil rig stopped functioning.

So, I have at least one island with two oil rigs that are not outputting any resources and replacing the 'miners' and the belts is not resetting or jump starting the process. I am effectively dead in the water for the moment, unless I return to file m, but lose whatever work that I did. (Loading the files overwrote the last save time stamp, so I do not know how much time has not passed. Files m, n, and o are now showing that they were opened or accessed only minutes apart, instead of hours or days.)

Is there a different way of resetting sources so that they generate an output?
