Law enforcement officers may confiscate cell phones from players when authorized by department policy, during arrests, bookings, investigations, or while a player is incarcerated. Any confiscated phone should be returned upon release unless it is being held as evidence. Inmates are prohibited from possessing, using, trading, or receiving cell phones while in custody. Possession or use of a cell phone while incarcerated may result in disciplinary action, additional charges, or confiscation of the device.
