Comprehensive Enhancements for the New Gun System in Roleplay Game

Improvements for the new gun system. I made a suggestion similar to this yesterday but it got flagged for moderation so I’ll try word it differently.

  • Most important first improvement would be the bugs getting fixed (I think all have been reported).
  • Sidearms not being tilted in first person when not using E/Q.
  • Crosshair returning for first person.
  • Better animation for holding guns, especially sidearms (Maybe similar to the old one).
  • Draw animation fixed/redone for LEO guns (More speed as LEOs would be fast and also how it generally looks).
  • Draw animation for civilians made to be reaching from their waistband to keep it more realistic, except for rifles of course, which should be reaching to their chest rather than one appearing instantly.
  • Taser fixed so it’s not drawn like a gun, doesn’t have a weird hold animation and works/fires properly (Again maybe something similar to the old system).
  • Damage system tweaked so you don’t die from being shot in the arm, also don’t die from someone shooting you once and the system registering it as a headshot (has happened to me quite a lot), make it harder to just one tap people and make the system more balanced in general and more similar to the old system so people have a chance to survive (Another good example is loosing almost all your health from being shot in the foot).
  • Make it so bulletproof vests actually stop bullets or reduce their impact, same with helmets.
  • As a temporary thing until this new medical system is brought in, make it so when a medic revives you any major injures disappear, as it’s weird seeing an officer patrolling with half their skull missing.
  • Make it so guns can only penetrate things like glass and not go through entire car bodies, unless it’s a really powerful round.
  • Make it so the heavier/bigger the gun the longer it takes to draw it (So people aren’t instantly shooting rifles from their chest).
  • Probably already planned but when gun sounds get fixed make a substantial difference in sounds between something like a G17 and AR15, for example.
  • Make it so bullet casings, magazines and guns themselves drop again.

I’ll probably think of more to add later but this is all for now. I’ll also try get some clips today to show where stuff needs to be improved.
