Explanation
The friend system is experiencing an issue where players on different platforms (PS5 and Steam) cannot add each other as friends directly. When attempting to add each other, the 'add' button remains light gray, and no friendship is established. Attempts to add by friend code and through blocking/unblocking have failed. The only workaround is for a mutual friend to invite both players, allowing them to join the same group.
This issue was created from the following Discord message:
Hey, I'm trying to add my friend (they're on PS5 and I'm on steam) on the game, but it just puts the "add" button in light gray to both of us when we try to add ourselves, but neither of us become friend. We've tried then to add ourselves by friend code, blocking each of us and unblocking to retry, it seems like we did everything, but we can't be friend. The only way for us to play is for our common friend to invite each of us, but without them, we can't be in the same group
