Items in storage inaccessible despite visible slots

Steps to Reproduce

1. I joined a lobby where a Steam friend is the host and added items to the storage.
2. When I later tried to extract the items by entering the code,
3. no box with the items appeared, but the item and item code was removed from the list.
4. However, it's still listed in the storage list as used slot.

Explanation

It isn't possible to access stored items. I can see that four items have been stored, but no code is shown. Therefore, I cannot access the items, and in this case, I have four item slots 'wasted'.
