Adjust or Remove 'Get Struck by Lightning' Weekly Challenge in Dead Rails
Decrease the amount of times you need to be struck in the "Get Struck by Lightning" Weekly Challenge, or remove it from the game entirely. 10 strikes -> 5 strikes, or 0.
When we compare and contrast every other Weekly Challenge in the game right now, you can see a difference in difficulty. Here are all the ones that the player can control: Craft 10 items, Craft 5 Ammo Boxes. Take 1k Damage, Primordial Soup, Kill 200 Enemies, Kill 4 Horses of the Apocalypse, Kill 100 Werewolves/Vampires/Outlaws, Revive 15 Times, Travel 500km, Spend 20k, Sell 10k
Getting struck by lightning 10 times is heavily reliant on RNG, which is unlike any of the other weeklies in the game. Combining an already difficult task with repetition creates an incredibly boring and unreliable challenge for players to complete.
As a player with 330 stars, myself and countless others have completed this challenge several times and have struggled with the difficulty and RNG aspect of it week after week. You must dedicate a ton of time AFK'ing or you have to spend more time driving to the lab to hope you get struck there. If you're solo, this challenge is twice as difficult because you are limited to a certain number of strikes per run. This is the ONLY Weekly Challenge in Dead Rails that relies on luck - you need the High Roller class to step outside and pray during lightning storms, or you need to drive all the way to the lab to summon the storm there or rely on Tesla to try and get strikes at the end.
As with many challenges in this game, of course it's going to be much easier with a trusted reliable friend to help you complete them. But you cannot rely on your friends to help you finish the challenge in time because they have lives of their own. I firmly believe that every Weekly Challenge in this game should be able to be completed efficiently solo in some way, shape, or form. Even if you don't have an alt, the Reviving 15 Times one is fairly simple to do in public lobbies since everyone dies easily.
Because the Bite-Sized mode doesn't guarantee the lab spawn as a POI, you can't effectively rely on that either to complete the challenge. Something has needed to change regarding this for a very long time now, please upvote if you agree.
