Implement Enhanced Communication and Conduct Features for a Positive Player Experience

Feedback & Recommendations for Improving Player Communication and Conduct in Forefront
Good afternoon,
I wanted to share some observations and recommendations based on my recent gameplay experience in Forefront. The game has a great foundation, but there are several communication and player-behavior challenges that may affect the overall experience.
One of the main issues I noticed is the difficulty in identifying who is speaking when multiple players are talking at the same time. This becomes especially concerning when racial slurs, inappropriate language, or other toxic behavior occur often from younger players. Many games handle this by illuminating a microphone icon or the player’s name in real time, and adding a similar feature in Forefront would help clearly identify speakers and make reporting more accurate.
I also observed players misusing the reporting system by submitting false reports simply because they disagreed with another player's skill level or style of play. In addition, some players are not engaging as a team for example, refusing to share ammo or med packs even when they have the resources to do so which creates unnecessary conflict in the match.
With that in mind, I wanted to offer several additional suggestions that may help strengthen the overall player environment:
• Enhanced voice moderation tools:
Voice-to-text profanity detection, auto-warning systems, or temporary voice restrictions could help reduce toxic behavior.
• Smarter reporting features:
Including a short audio snippet with reports would protect players from false accusations and improve review accuracy. Tiered penalties based on verified misconduct could also help.
• Improved HUD indicators:
A live voice indicator showing who is speaking and possibly color coded when inappropriate language is detected would make communication more transparent.
• Better team-play incentives:
Rewarding players for support actions (ammo drops, healing teammates, revives, objective support) can promote teamwork. A team-play rating system may also help discourage selfish or disruptive behavior.
• Minor/child voice controls:
Age-based voice restrictions or enhanced parental controls could address issues arising from younger players engaging in inappropriate communication.
• Optional toxicity filters:
Players could opt into a system that auto-mutes or deprioritizes frequently reported toxic accounts, improving the experience for those who prefer a cleaner environment.
Overall, implementing clearer speaker identification, improving the reporting system, and reinforcing team-focused behavior would go a long way toward creating a fairer and more positive experience for all players.
Thank you for taking the time to review this feedback. I appreciate the work that goes into developing and maintaining a game of this scale and hope these recommendations are helpful as Forefront continues to grow.
