The 50cal on top of tanks should do more damage to helicopters. At least the little bird, because currently its really hard to kill it with the tanks 50cal while the heli's guns are able to quickly kill the tank. And if there is no one around to shoot it down you are unable to leave to use the rocket launcher to shoot it down because you will die the moment you leave the tank.
