All snipers need more ammo, and seminauto snipers need a faster fire rate. As it is, with the 50 cal, you get like 30 rounds and a 2 second delay between shots, making it nearly impossible to play the point. It goes like this: I shoot a guy, and have to wait 2 seconds to shoot again, while he unloads a clip into me. The dragonov fires a bit faster, but still too slow for a 3 hit kill. The 50 cal is only good at range with the 2 sec delay between shots despite being a semi auto, and even then only having 30 rounds means you have to stop and get ammo constantly, and the ammo is usually found near the point, so you die due to what I typed above. The most common complaint for recons in all battlefield type games is that they don't play the point. In this game playing the point is impossible as a recon, and everyone agrees recon is the most difficult class. Snipers need more ammo and the semi autos need a faster firing rate. I can d*** near cycle the bolt action faster than the 50 cal fires.
