Electronic warfare; maybe a vehicle (land or air) capable of spotting enemy vehicles in their hud & jamming one, when the player aims the crosshair would lock onto the vehicle and once they "shoot" the crosshair locks & starts jamming the vehicle & the driver/gunner/pilot can look away
