Improved helicopter physics:

Improving the helicopter physics to take into account more real world components. For example making the helicopter operate much much more efficiently while rotors are parallel to the incoming air makes it so the helicopter can't aim down at the ground for too long, making aiming in the helicopters harder.

In real life this is caused by the rotor's aerofoils AOA (angle of attack) being dynamically reduced and increased relative to air as the rotorcraft moves up and down vertically through the air. The AOA reduces while going up and increases while going down due to the air's direction relative to the blades. Thus, when going up, AOA decreases and the coefficient of lift reduces in the lift force formula. When going down the increased AOA increases lift.

This can be cheaply implemented into the game using float curves and a simple dotproduct between the rotor up vector and the vertical speed. Though this approach makes barrel rolls very difficult. So a more arcade approach would be using the world up vector rather than the rotor up vector. Making sure the helicopter stays level in flight, just like real life.

Another cause of helicopters flying relatively level is because the entire rotor disc acts as a giant aerofoil which generates lift at speeds and also huge amounts of drag when trying to move in the direction of the blades itself.

In conclusion I think the main issue with the current helicopter is that it does not use real world physics calculations like the lift equation. I think basing the helicopter flight simulator off of the lift equation and making each component of the equation in a simplified way the helicopter can remain arcade-like but fly more like expected. This also makes it a little bit harder to fly which might be good so total noobs can't just get in the helicopter and start killing people just as easily as anyone else. Preventing people from swarming the helicopter when it spawns. This would actually make it so some people dedicate themselves to the skill of flying and get good at it, rather than everybody being relatively the same skill level. And the training grounds will be perfect for anyone wanting to learn to fly.
