Nerf aim laser grenade throwing to improve balance and immersion. Shorten the aim laser for throwing grenades using a button. To just a foot or two. A general guide. So manually throwing a grenade can have a chance at competing. This is a vr game. Not a flat screen game where a button push throws a grenade. Every other vr game out there, with grenades, knows this. People are already at a huge disadvantage when manually physically throwing a grenade. It’s slower, and there is no aim laser. So why don’t you, in the name of making this an immersive vr game, improve manual grenade throwing and try and balance button push grenade throwing so manual can have a chance to compete? You should also add a small delay on throwing using button. It would still be faster than manually throwing a grenade unless it is made long enough. Because again, this is a vr game. This, is, a vr, game. Vr. Vr. I feel the need to have to repeat, because I don’t think you understand that. It’s very immersion breaking and unbalanced to think that people should be able to use a no skill involved, non physical move, with a button and an aim laser, to throw a grenade in a vr game. It allows low skill players to wipe out whole squads. Just spamming grenades. And making shots that, without this huge crutch, they would never be able to do, even if your manual grenade throwing mechanics were any good. You took a shortcut to getting the game running, and didn’t spend time on fixing the grenades. But now you have a lot of the game completed, and have the time to devote to fixing this problem. I’m gonna repeat this. IT’S A VR GAME. When deciding on the delay time for throwing using a button, to make it match manually throwing a grenade. You should do testing. Have someone throw grenades. From holding a gun, to pulling the pin, and then regrabbing the gun. Time it. For both manually throwing and button throwing. And whoever does the test has to do so with the same level of aim and skill, grenade shot placement, at different ranges, manually throwing as button pushing. More than one vr game has had button reloading, but a manual reloading. And button almost always had a speed debuff, and/or took a longer time than manual. Because these are vr games, and people should be rewarded for playing a vr game, like a vr game, with that skill. So you should consider making the grenade button throw time even longer than the manually throwing of a grenade. To encourage people to play a vr game, as a vr game.
