A Deployable Ballistic shield as a replacement for a primary weapon on engineer would make for an interesting and unique gameplay style for the engineer. Being able to be set down and expand into a wall cover to allow other teammates to take and hold space. Having a set HP that slowly regens (faster if near an ammo pack) when not deployed and being pierced by snipers (not bow) to balance its close ranged oppression that it could have.
