Enhanced Replay and Cinematic Camera System for Gameplay Recording
Feature Request: Advanced Replay / Cinematic Camera
I think it would be really cool if Forefront could get an advanced replay and camera system for recording gameplay and making clips.
It would be awesome to have different camera perspectives, including first-person, third-person, and a free/floating camera. For third-person and free camera, players could adjust the distance from their character, FOV, height, and position. It would also be nice to be able to leave the camera floating in a specific location so players could set up cinematic shots for videos.
Another feature I'd love to see is an automatic highlight system. The game could automatically save short clips whenever you get:
Kills
Assists
Headshots
Squad wipes
Multi-kills
Other big plays
The clips could capture a few seconds before and after the event so the important part of the fight isn't missed.
Ideally, these clips could then be viewed in a replay mode where you can switch between first-person, third-person, and free-camera views. Being able to slow down the replay, change the FOV, move the camera around, and get different angles would make it really useful for making montages, TikToks, YouTube videos, and other content.
I think something like this could be especially awesome in VR because Forefront's large-scale battles would look amazing from cinematic camera angles. It could also give content creators a much easier way to capture and share their best moments without having to rely entirely on external recording software.
Even a basic version of this system would be really cool to see!
