Adjust Stim Gun Mechanics for Balanced Gameplay

The Stim Gun remains seriously overpowered and needs further balancing.

The issue is the combination of its speed boost with rapid crouch/stand bopping and side-to-side wobbling. Stim players doing those movements become almost bulletproof, taking little damage even under sustained fire from multiple enemies.

This isn't a new or isolated observation. The player base is already well aware of Forefront's****-reg issues, and Stim buffs amplify the issue through high-speed movement, latency, peeker's advantage and constantly changing hitbox positions. The effect can be so extreme that players who aren't familiar with the Stim movement often assume the user is actively hacking and report them falsely.

Stim users are also seeing a very large increase in K/D, I would say easily double for the same player without, with the better players able to take on multiple players at once reliably, even without cover. The current meta essentially rewards players for injecting themselves every cooldown. If maintaining the Stim is necessary to remain competitive, it becomes a chore rather than an interesting tactical choice.

Possible solutions:

  • Reduce the speed boost.
  • Reduce its interaction with rapid crouch/stand movement.
  • Make the cooldown longer than the effect so it can't be maintained indefinitely.
  • Reduce the healing/max-health bonus.
  • Add limited charges.

It is currently so broken it really is ruining any sense of fairness and causing a high degree of frustration even among experienced players, but no doubt doubly so for confused starters.
