Silenced Knife to Enhance Stealth Gameplay
If you guys add a knife allowing stealth to be a more viable option, you should disable the death scream and local mic when killed with a knife. The whole point of a knife, in my opinion, would be taking the risk to get close enough to stab so your opponent so that the enemy's around can not discern your position based on the sound of your gun. If the knife still makes a sound for everyone to hear while also allowing the enemy to speak after death, it defeats the risk of getting close to the enemy in the first place. Ex: A recon is infiltrating a point. Enemy's on that point have vastly high time to kills then the recon does. When the recon engages the enemy with a suppressed pistol, that pistol will make enough sound that Enemy's on the point will hear it. The trade-off is that a pistol can be used to pick targets from a range. Then, because that can be done at range, the recon can reposition to avoid one on one confrontation. If the recon sees an opportunity to eliminate a target with the knife, they would be punished for taking the risk to move out of position if the enemy loudly states they have been stabbed. It would desensitized players from using in stealth because they could take someone down from a distance and use that distance to lose and any reinforcementing enemies. Instead, if the enemy could not speak or would not make a scream on death, the recon would be rewarded for their risk of getting close to an enemy. This also makes a stealth-like playstyle more fun and engaging because it adds a useful tool for stealth CQB.
