Steps to Reproduce
- Enable Virtual Gunstock and hold a rifle with both hands.
- Keep both physical controllers stationary.
- Rotate the headset without deliberately moving the controllers.
- Observe the rear virtual grip shifting while the forward grip remains fixed.
- Fire before and after rotating the headset and compare impact positions.
- Expected: Identical controller poses should produce the same weapon pose and firing direction, independently of headset rotation
Explanation
Virtual rear grip shifts during headset rotation while both tracked controllers remain stationary.
With Virtual Gunstock enabled, rotating the headset displaces the weapon’s virtual rear grip even though both physical controllers remain stationary. The forward virtual grip stays fixed, causing the weapon to pivot around it.
This affects actual firing direction: bullet impacts move on a stationary world-space target. The effect is not limited to the sight picture or camera parallax.
Translating the headset while maintaining the same orientation does not produce the issue.
