Private Lobby Mode for Solo and Friends Testing
I would like to suggest a Custom / Private Game Mode that allows a player to host an isolated lobby. The host should be able to launch the match completely alone (solo) or invite specific friends using a lobby code or direct party invites, completely bypassing public matchmaking.
Specific Use-Case Scenarios:
Testing Updates: After an update drops, a player can load into a private match alone to explore map changes, practice recoil patterns with new weapons, and test mechanics at their own pace.
Controlled Bug Reproduction: If a player encounters a bug during live matches, they can enter a private lobby with a friend to easily recreate the scenario, capture clean footage, and submit an accurate bug report.
The Benefit (Why it matters):
This feature significantly improves the player experience by removing the frustration of trying to test things or casual-play in high-stakes public queues. For the developers, it acts as a force multiplier for community-driven QA testing; it empowers players to gather clean, unbothered game logs and recordings of bugs, making them much easier for your team to diagnose and fix.
Real-World Examples:
Fortnite (Custom Matchmaking Keys): Allows creators and players to enter a map with a custom key to host private tournaments or practice.
Valorant / Counter-Strike (Custom Lobbies): What makes these great is the ability to turn on cheats/developer commands (like infinite ammo or pausing the match) to quickly test specific scenarios without restarting.
