Implement Toggle-able Speed P.A.I.N.T Ability as Primary with Secondary Slot Management
"Speed P.A.I.N.T ability "toggle/Primary ability". I don't think nerfing the Speed PAINT would be well received, given this is a movement shooter and a ton of the fun people are having is with the speed they can get out of the PAINT.
I Think a great idea would be to have it as a "permanent" or Primary throw-able ability that you can toggle or switch out to your secondary mid-game if you wanted, and for your load-outs, you can unlock and select the other ones like the JUMP and healing ones etc. for your "secondary" slot. This could help with SEVERAL aspects of the "Speed game".
Since right now the speed is basically the "meta", this would mitigate that, as everyone would have it, but then get to choose their "secondary" PAINT or however you'd name it. ALSO, if you were to use either your speed or other paint, it would go on cool-down for BOTH, so you cannot spam them mindlessly, which means there would be a management aspect of how and when to use it. So If I have the JUMP paint, then i use it to get height, i cant use speed for at the top for whoever i am fighting on top of the platform I just jumped up to. I feel like this can help balance things a bit.
Also, if someone wants to just have fun and speed everywhere and not use any other ability, they can still do so and go buck wild if they want to, long as they don't toggle over to their other PAINT ability. Obviously this would need to be tested and is just an opinion, but this looks like a win-win-win type of situation in my current view. But with anything, of course testing would need to be applied to see how this played out.
EDIT: ALSO, have the Speed PAINT puddle last probably half as long, so people cant throw down a speed paint just to strafe around in it for too long and gain an advantage that way.
