Playstyle-Based Perks/Modulators

Introduce perks or modulators that strengthen different playstyles rather than encouraging everyone to play the same way.

For example, players who don't constantly bunny hop or slide could choose a modulator that provides benefits such as slightly increased movement speed or improved turning/handling while running normally (Doesn't work while jumping or sliding). This helps players who prefer a more grounded playstyle remain competitive without forcing them into advanced movement techniques.

Likewise, players who enjoy aggressive movement should have their own perks or modulators that complement that style.

The goal is for every perk/modulator to bolster a specific playstyle, giving players meaningful choices and promoting a more balanced and diverse gameplay experience where multiple approaches are viable.

Here are some specific examples:

Movement / Mobility Playstyles
Steady Stride – Increased movement speed and weapon stability while staying grounded.

Momentum Drive – Builds speed through continuous movement, rewarding players who keep moving.

Aerial Control – Improves air movement, jump control, and recovery for movement-focused players.

Quick Pivot – Faster turning and directional changes for close-range engagements.

Aim / Gunplay Styles
Steady Hands – Reduced recoil and weapon sway for controlled players.

Target Lock – Improves tracking accuracy while maintaining focus on an enemy.

Precision Core – Increased accuracy while aiming or firing in short bursts.

Reactive Aim – Faster weapon handling after switching targets.

Aggressive Playstyles
Overdrive – Temporary speed or damage boost after eliminations.

Berserker Module – Increased combat effectiveness when engaging multiple enemies.

Chase Protocol – Improved movement speed toward damaged enemies.

Close Quarters System – Enhances short-range combat effectiveness.

Defensive / Tactical Playstyles
Anchor System – Reduced knockback and improved stability while holding positions.

Fortify Module – Increased survivability while defending objectives.

Evasion Matrix – Brief defensive boost after taking heavy damage.

Recon Module – Improves awareness of nearby enemies and movement patterns.

Ability / Cooldown-Based Playstyles
Overclock Core – Faster ability cooldowns at the cost of reduced efficiency elsewhere.

Energy Reserve – Increased ability duration or effectiveness.

Emergency Protocol – Provides a temporary boost when health becomes critical.

Chain Reaction – Rewards consecutive actions with temporary bonuses.

Mech-Specific Modules
Mobility Module – Improves boost efficiency, speed, and turning for agile mech pilots.

Defense Module – Increases durability and damage resistance for tank-focused pilots.

Assault Module – Enhances weapon power and combat output for aggressive mech pilots.

Extra EMPULSE Ideas
Momentum Mastery – The longer you maintain movement without stopping, the stronger your bonuses become.

Risk Reward System – Gain stronger bonuses for aggressive plays, but lose them when playing passively.

Pilot Specialization – Choose a focus such as speed, precision, aggression, or defense to customize your role.

A good EMPULSE design philosophy could be:

"Modulators should not replace skill; they should amplify the way a player already wants to play."

That keeps movement experts, aim-focused players, objective players, and mech specialists all feeling powerful in their own way.
