Enhance Gameplay Dynamics with On-Map Power Weapon Pickups Instead of ADS
I saw the post regarding the possible inclusion of ADS. I really respected your guy's vision towards a game design that's in favor of a fast paced movement FPS, and how you explained that ADS hinders that type of gameplay. I've always believed the same thing, and ADS being added because people are simply complaining isn't the way to go I feel. I'd hope you guys remain set on keeping the foundation of what makes a good movement FPS, Quake doesn't have ADS for a reason. Instead I think it'd be better to take more feedback from people who are interested in actually expanding on the game's core fundamentals (movement and overall flow state). I've even brought up the idea of maps having on-the-map power weapon pickups for mercenaries to hard counter Mechs and even have better odds against other mercenaries. Stuff like that to encourage more cool map traversal which is gameplay oriented and explores how to bring new dynamics to the Empulse gameplay loop.
