Steps to Reproduce

1. Enable auto-save in settings
2. Play for extended period
3. Check save files folder
4. No recent auto-saves despite playing for hours

Explanation

Auto-save feature doesn't work consistently. Sometimes auto-saves work fine, other times they don't trigger at all, causing players to lose progress when the game crashes.
